Vitus is on tap at Pipers right now.

Its probably the best beer anyone has ever drank.

If you don't like it you should quit drinking beer, pull your head out of your stinking rear, and try thinking clear.

Favorite dive bar in the city?

Qualifications:
  • Must allow smoking
  • Food limited to stale peanuts, bonus points for pickled eggs
  • High Life bottles
  • Liquor bottles must have the little price tag on so the professional drunk behind the bar knows how much the bourbon no one drinks costs
  • Steel tip dart board wins the game

Doesnt Ruggers cover most of that criteria?

They went non smoking, have a food menu, pricey (relatively) liquor & I've hired too many ex-ruggers to go there again.

Hmm, who'd of thought that would ever happen. Knew about the food, but thought they had the pickled eggs covered, or is that Nadine's?

My favorite is Kopy's.

My second favorite is Cafe Nikos.

My third favorite is that place we talked about the other day that i already forget the name of. Maybe Lou's?

My fifth favorite is Nadine's cause bologna.

My fourth favorite is Altius.

In no particular order, and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch:
Red and Irene's
Sonny's
Take a break
Homestead owls club
Rocco's

Another vote for red and Irene’s...also white eagle.

My personal qualification is that they must have served me my beer and cigarettes long before I was of legal age.

I for some reason always thought the owls club was a private club when I drove passed it. I definitely feel I missed out on the homestead experience now.

I got the winner of this one. Conley's in Lawrenceville. They only started letting women in a few years ago.

Take a break is a good one too. I've heard stories of full on movie style barfights with dude's breaking pool cues off eachother's back.

And don't forget wyckydsceptre 's favorite, [steelers penguins pirates] in Sharpsburg.

Kopy's used to be great too.

I'll throw in one more from college, Uncle Jimmy's. I'd be surprised if that place was still open.

Is "Millvale" a valid answer?

Conley’s has a bangin bottle collection judging from their untapped checking though!

Man this thread reminds me of 10 years ago, going to George's in Blawnox which Isn't around anymore. Was told the owner loved Pepsi, but somehow knew craft beer was becoming a thing, so he always had a decent selection, and priced for the local crowd. I remember spending all night there listening to a ****** old man classic rock cover band, playing darts, and slugging down $3 bottles of Blackout Stout, 90 Minute, and Golden Monkey.
