anyone from the northern realm have any idea if aurochs is still making beer?
There were quite a few cars in their parking lot the other day. Not sure how that business model is even remotely successful without bottling and distribution. I haven't tried it but also have zero desire to.

I saw Auroch's bottles at a distributor the other day.

Going to be in Cranberry Township Friday night for work. Anything cool to do around?

That's my neck of the woods.

Pig Iron and Mad Mex have the best list in Cranberry proper. If you want to go down to the Whole Foods in Wexford (15 minutes down the road), they have a more consistent draft list albeit with less local focus and it's actually a pretty cool bar believe it or not. If you're looking for anything specific, let me know. I can probably point you in the right direction.

Has anyone seen Mad Elf Grand Cru anywhere? On Saturday I was bored... Checked with Whole Foods Wexford, Market District Aspinwall, Market District Wexford, Kuhn's on McKnight and Shaler GE. They all said they wouldn't be getting it.

So I guess Troegs idea of wide distro is a little different than mine...

Edit: I see now that MD Robinson got some. Guess them and Shadyside are gonna be it, eh?

There is literally a metric **** ton of parking on the Southside.

More importantly, 13 years ago yesterday ODB died. Still one of my favorites.

I ask you to go high, you tell me to go low
So I go low, (slurp), taste the ****

I got mine there last night (6:30). 14.99/per, there were 3 cases.

Edit: Got a call that my distributor in Beaver County got it in this morning.

Edit x2: Beer Express is getting theirs today.

Thanks. It's weird to me that the MD in Aspinwall didn't get any. They usually seem to get most things like this and they said they were told they couldn't get it.

Heres some more, not north of the city though.

Would be nice to know how Vecenie and other distributors decide what goes where.

Speaking of that, whos getting Bourbon County?

i'll be in detroit next weekend so i guess not me. if anyone scores a case, i'd love a bottle or two. bcbs is my favorite stout.

I still have a couple of the infected batch lying around. Prooooobably need to do something with those.

there was a dude on fb who actively sought them out to make hot sauce with them.

I am hoping with the new distributor laws no one gets a case and everywhere goes the individual bottle route.

Standard BCBS should be easy to snag. It sat around here for a good while after release (Duffy's in the South Hills still had some as of last week) and I'm sure that Pittsburgh is going to see even more hit shelves this year. Thankfully have a 2017 Prop and Reserve coming next week, so the only bottle I'm looking out for this year is Northwoods, which I'm hoping Pittsburgh gets.

I'm really looking forward to Founder's CBS dropping the following weekend as well.

Mine tasted great for a while, but they definitely taste infected now. Still not undrinkable imo though.

I bet you'd have an easier time finding them in Detroit than Pittsburgh.

Yea, i'd like to snag those too. Hoping we get that Northwoods.

Granted, I don't follow the bottle shop/bar scene like I used to, but it doesn't seem like there has been much chatter regarding this year's Bourbon County release. Just judging from year's past, I would think Bierport would probably be the best bet for Northwoods. I haven't seen Shadyside get much talk these days since Randy left.

Doesn't look to be a bad ride at all. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thats where I got my allotment last year. Was hoping to do the same again this year.

If i get any Bourbon County this year i'll pass it along to those of you that enjoy drinking it. I honestly only buy it so i can post pics of it on Instagram.

One of these days i'm gonna get super laid.

Getting laid is for people who suck at beer hoarding. Wait. Maybe it's the other way around.
