I made a rare appearance to Southside on Saturday afternoon as well to go to Escape Room. My how times have changed. I saw some pretty skimpy (lingerie) "costumes". Saw a dude dressed up as a women and asked if he's dressing up as Caitlyn (Bruce) Jenner and dude told me he dresses like this everyday, I'm pretty sure he wasn't joking.

That's exactly why I take my kids down there; my damn bubble kids need some culture.

Not sure if I can eat at Fathead's ever again. I drink there every once in a while, and I think I'm ok with appetizers, but it's been years since I've eaten any of their sandwiches. The few times I did eat one, I literally had to army crawl to the restroom within 10 minutes of consumption and mere nanoseconds had passed from the time my bare ass hit the seat to when my brown eye was painting the porcelain brown.

yeah we moved out there back in may after living in lawrenceville for 10 years and i'm struggling to come to terms with the change. my kids love it though.

I like it pretty well, but I grew up in the country. I don't mind the city, but I'm not the most comfortable there either.

I guess you're scared of boredom?
Shopping malls & parking lots give me anxiety.

While we're at it, I'm really out of touch with the outer ring of breweries in Butler, Indiana, Sarver and whenever else they are. I've been to Fury but what else outside of Allegheny County is worth blowing off a Sunday to visit?

Yes it has to be Sunday which means Cellar Works is out with their stupid hours.

This Saturday the 28th we are going to have an 'open house'. In essence, the production portion of the brewery we will be open for viewing, growler fills and samples from 1-7pm. You will need to come around to the back of the building (see the star on the google image below) and into the alley in true speakeasy style. The doors will be propped open. We will have two beers available:

Norwegian Farmhouse Ale (NFA v1.1) - 7.1% alc/vol
Brewed with a traditional kveik yeast isolated from Norway and a small amount of Norway spruce tips sourced from Powell's Valley Hop Farms in PA. We also added some Chinook hops to layer in with the spruce. The resulting beer has a marked tartness with some pine, earth, and moderate citrus notes.

Session Dry-Hopped Amer. Blonde (SDAB v1.6) - 3.5% alc/vol
Clocking in at 3.5% ABV this is a truly sessionable beer but don't be fooled... the flavor and body are not lacking because of it. A solid malt profile with a light bitterness. We upped the dry-hop charge to showcase the hops more in each version of SDAB. This version is dry-hopped with Medusa™ and the aroma is jumping out of the glass. Medusa™ is native to Colorado and New Mexico, humulus lupulus neomexicanus is an entirely different hop species from its European cousin. Medusa™ delivers strong flavor and aroma characteristics of intense guava, melon, apricot and citrus fruit.

I have nothing to base this off of but I have high hopes for these guys.
