I think it's more noble to have some sort of meager hustle to get a 4 pack (given some sort of extenuating circumstance) than to have no reason at all other than you don't want to pay for it.

How about a part time job to allow you to purchase extra luxury items you want? Or getting a better job than the one you have through extra education or learning a skill? That'd be a good hustle

You forgot to include Marry Up as an option. I mean sure, your ideas are probably the way to go, but I'm not going to judge anyone for doing it. ;)

Man, everyone has an opinion on this matter of selling secondhand beer.

It's beer. We're not talking about coming up with some creative sales techniques so the baby has clothes and food. It's beer. You're better than this.
Hah, I'm struggling to come up a good scenario for this so yinz are right. It's all shitlordery.

I'm fortunate enough to have a job where I can work extra hours if I ever need more cash, but I'm sure many aren't. This thing has me thinking about a much broader scope of topics, like the younger generation and entitlement and all that but I don't think going down that road here would have much meaning.

It is shitlordery. This case is on the petty scale rather than the usual grand theft razzle, MBC, and trade variety but it is shitlordery.

Is there a scenario where you would resort to Pefferman'ing or would you just do without?

Yeah that could work to, marry up, retire from a good job and spend all your time on here. Not a bad plan if I say so myself. Wish I would have thought of that choice

Personally if I lost my job and needed cash to support my family I would have no problem trying to squeeze every last dollar out of my cellar, but I think those situations are few and far between. The profiteering aspect of trades and sales has gotten out of control.

Yeah it'd do no good here. I don't define hustle by buying extra beer to sell to pay for the 4 pack you want but that's just me

Yeah I mean I don't fault someone for that. If you lose your job and legitimately need money for your family. In that situation I doubt you're going out and buying beer to sell to take care of your family tho??

But to buy extra beer just to sell it to get free beer for yourself are completely different scenarios. I am probably wrong tho.

Now you're getting into the scenario of making sure the baby has food and clothes as opposed to beerman6686 feeling he deserves free beer because shipping out a 4 pack requires so much effort.

Shitlording 101

Yep, different scenarios. One is doing what you gotta do to make ends meet the other is shitlording. I'm sure there are some who have combined the two.

On the same note, how much extra is it ok to buy specifically in order to trade? There's an even blurrier line there.
Now that's a good question. The obvious answer is zero but we all know that doesn't happen so my answer is one.
I wish, then Id be able to buy a **** ton of Dancing Gnome and actually make use of the damn thing.
I doubt a master's in shitlording would fetch much. Lots of people already have one and they're awfully easy to obtain. You seem to be making good use of yours as it is.

I hate myself for typing this as I have stated numerous times I don't want drama with my beer...

One missing piece in this story is Dan (beerman6686 ) offering to grab me a 4-pack of B1or2 then confirming in a private message only to go silent. He also stated he sold 2x4-packs to cover one for him. Pretty sure he sold "mine" lol. He's read my messages, so what other conclusion can I come to?

Funny part is he brings up trading hops for Trillium. I told Dan I was going to be in Boston for work. I planned on bringing him some fresh Trillium as a thanks, and anyone who even remotely knows me probably could've put 2 and 2 together and assumed I would give something extra as a thanks.
Really, a Photekut like...that hurts.
