The fact you don't see the problem is why you should stick to ba and facebook trading groups.
I think shuggy just advocated for TB...?

Because you're doing this.

Out of context? You said you were trying to get free beer. You're the quintessential shitlord. Perfect for ba and facebook.BA doesn't allow selling, so that comment doesn't make sense. You're also great at pulling things out of context. On the general subject though, yes I don't have anything against the secondary market at all. If people are dumb enough to pay hundreds of dollars for a ******** beer, I don't blame anyone for cashing in on that.

If you haven't yet, check out Helicon's site. Feels remote even though it's not that out of the way, in this charming little town. Beautiful morning - got there a little before opening, took the baby for a stroll on the bike path, BSed with Tera at the bar, got a growler to go. Vienna Lager, delicious stuff, polished it off with my wife while making dinner. Have a good night, everyone.

How much do you charge for Helicon beers? Do you add on a little extra above your standard 50% for travel time and gas?Agree on the Helicon, they had some nice german styles, solid hoppy beers, and even their raspberry wheat was tasty. Just wish it wasn't so far out of the way.
I read this aloud in the voice of Rick Sebak. You should do a WQED special on local breweries man.If you haven't yet, check out Helicon's site. You sure got me there. Good luck being a shitlord.Just because no one would even pay retail for your garbage beer doesn't mean you gota hate.

Oh ****...that was you? My comment was tongue in cheek as ****.
Maybe. But you're missing the point entirely.
Tranquil Elephantizer up next.
You're doing yourself a disservice every time you open something other than that Foshomo. You're welcome.

Agreed. This most recent batch of MOMO is one of the best beers I've ever had.

Is Dan's offer really that bad? He breaks even, plus gets covered a four-pack for his trouble (the "free beer" shuglord claims he was angling for). Buyer gets beer at a 50% mark-up plus shipping, which is what a retailer would charge anyway.Yeah, this ones hard to talk your way out of.
I mean, reselling beer ain't exactly legal. So there's that. But alsoIs Dan's offer really that bad? Admittedly this isn't my game, but it doesn't seem like gross profiteering to me. dadavat even said that the margin barely seemed worth the effort, so it's not like Dan would be getting away with murder here. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong.

Eh, you guys are prolly right, I just don't care that much one way or the other. Didn't seem like that big a transgression, comparatively, but also not really worth condoning. So at what price point is selling Voodoo bottles acceptable or BG bottles? Is profiteering wrong or is taking away the opportunity away from someone to buy a limited beer at retail? Is the brewery cool with secondary sales? If you wanted to get their name out there can't you just trade for another IPA or give it to an out of town friend?
Just asking questions.
So a year ago "Nate" buys a case of beer on deep discount & splits with a friend at 50% above cost after schlepping to BFE to hand it off to said friend. Does this qualify "Nate" for shitlord status? Why or why not? Please show your work for full credit.
Agreed. Not full on shitlord, just shartlord. This selling DG 4 packs online thing just seems petty though. I understand **** lording deluxe where you attempt to make a massive gain more than trying to make 9 bucks. If you're that desperate to recoup such a small amount then you might want to rethink your priorities.
And that's not to say I condone deluxe **** lording btw. Just saying it makes more sense. This just seems dumb.
