Is that anything like hf's Nordic saison?

Hey.

I heard BG will be at some fest in Boston this weekend ?

Hosted by a couple brothers who are really cool I guess.

Candid footage(real news) of their first taste of Albatross.

Now that someone else has busted down that door....is my memory failing me or didn't BG storm out of BA with the rest of us? I seem to recall a well worded tirade on their way out and even a ban?

Water under the bridge, I suppose.

Your memory is correct. I thought it was slightly odd, but could see putting differences aside for the exposure and a trip to Boston.

To actually discuss beer for an ever so brief moment... Picked up some Better One or Two cans from DG yesterday and have very good things to say about the experience overall. Can pick up was super quick and easy and I have to say it's the best beer I've had from them so far by a fairly wide margin. I'm sure OneDropSoup has his heart swelling with pride right now.

I've been over there a few times since the releases started and I couldn't agree more. They start at 4 on the nose, the cans and boxes are ready to go and you are in and out of there in no time. It is a first class operation and while I love me some BG, I cannot stand the line waiting and delays it takes to get a growler from them. DN has their system down and it works very well. And the Citra Jam is excellent.

Not much can be done to speed up growler fills, I'm afraid. I hope one day BG will start putting their hops in cans.

The issue isn't the fills, it's the lack of staffing and poor use of space. Why not use the second bar for growlers and have someone over there with a second person available for when the line gets long? I've waited over an hour for a growler. That's just insane.

My guess would be that the second bar doesn't have the same tap capacity as the main bar.

Probably right. Wasn't trying to trash BG so much as give props to DN for running an ultra smooth operation. But when it comes time to decide where I want to go, I always think twice about BG because I never know if I'll be in and out in 5 minutes or 30 minutes.

Waiting 60 minutes to fill a growler at BG would definitely be way outside of the norm. I go there all the time and I've never waited more than maybe 10 minutes at the most. I don't doubt that happened to you at all because I know it's been an issue on occasion, just saying that's not how it normally is at all.

DG did an amazing job though, no doubt about that. I think the layout of their space might just be a little more conducive. And when BG does a bottle release I've always felt like the system with how they funnel people into and out of the left side of the taproom has worked pretty well.
