THIRD ANNIVERSARY WRAP-UP
We've got a few notes of housekeeping to cover as we wrap up our anniversary weekend:
  • Bottles of III, our third anniversary bourbon barrel-aged barleywine, are sold out. It is, however, still available on draft in the taproom.
  • A small quantity of third anniversary stemmed glassware is still available for purchase in our taproom ($12).

Hope I can leave work early tomorrow to go line up for this one:

You asked for it and it's here: Wednesday, May 24 we're canning a limited amount of Pedal Pale Ale in 16 oz cans, $12 for a 4 pack. You won't even have to ride a bike to get it! Just show up at the Brewpub in Larimer at 4pm to take home the very freshest Pedal Pale Ale. And BigHop will be back in six packs too. See you Wednesday!

well that game pissed me off.

Was at primanti's in Mt Lebo watching it. Was very happy to see they had Pizza Boy Magic... Under Where? on tap.

Excellent beer.

It makes me laugh that their cans have the same graphics for every beer, just a round sticker to tell you which beer it is.

Didnt know that.

If I made beer one of the things Id be most excited about it designing/hiring an artist for packaging.

At least with the cans that I've seen. Don't know if that's something that's always happened, but I would understand them doing that to save money on cans by buying them in large quantities. Don't know how the skus would work, though. Hmmm.

There's a lot to question about Pizza Boy. I just visited there and confirmed the food is not good. Secondly, why no samples of your beer when you have so many? I'm not going to buy a glass of everything to figure out what to get crowlers of. Thirdly, the pricing makes no sense for the up charges of sizes on pour size and crowlers/growlers fills. The beer was enjoyable, but nothing that made me want to rush back.

We went in September of 2015. Thought the pizza was okay but nothing memorable. The beers I had ranged from middling, to a jalapeno pale ale that was absolutely ******* disgusting. That might sound harsh, but I feel like I can't properly articulate how bad it was.

Their bottled sours are ridiculously priced too, but that's beating an age old dead horse.

Here is my foolproof plan when I visit Pizza Boy:

1) Eat in advance

2) Don't drink any Pizza Boy beers (except for Sunny Side Up)

3) Get 8oz pours of Tired Hands beer, even though the pricing is dumb

4) Fill growlers with Tired Hands SaisonHands

5) Head home

never been because don't like pizza boy at all...if forced, this would probably be my plan of attack.
