I will say that I've been to urban tap a number of times because my non beer nerd friends will go, and the DG stuff available is usually better than 85% of the other offerings. DG is good not great, but considering how new they are I could see the ceiling very high for them.

Was fun checking out DG but wasn't blown away by anything. 3/7 were kicked. Decided not to fill any growlers. Bought a 4 pack of lustra to share but not much difference in shifting clocks, aevum and lustra (lustra most green) but all tasted and looked super similar. Caligo has nice coffee but was real thin. Nice to try the place and it looks cool but don't know if I'll hunt them down in future.

Yeah, I think of those 4, Lustra would stand out. I wasn't a big fan of the saison and Aevum didn't do much for me but I think it's a session IPA? Their DIPA's are what makes them awesome and it looks like you didn't get to have any of them. Give them another shot.

I have no explanation of why but I enjoyed lustra much more in its packaged form than I have in house.

I smelled the **** out of the can that moarhops gave me and couldn't pick up on anything stinky.

My nasal pallet is ******.

Yeah, I was just kidding. I had one of the stinky can releases and it smelled like a can, which is to say it smelled like nothing. I did find myself sniffing the last two releases, which probably got some weird looks.

If you guys like imperial stouts, I'd try to make it over to Industry in Lawrenceville. Was there on Saturday and had KBS, BBA Ten Fidy, and Imperial Biscotti Break. Also on was DFH WWS, some 18% IRS from Harpoon, and at least a couple others. Thought I'd just give you a heads up, if you like that kind of thing.

Okay, but do they have any BA stouts that are actually good and not just overrated AF?

Last year we decided to blend a small portion of Ruby du Rhone with Yodeler. During the maturation process, the interactions between the two very different beers produced a high level of esters and increased the ABV. Since both of these complex beers have a relatively high ABV, we decided that it would be best to age the beer at a low temperature in hopes that the final product would mellow out. There was only one problem... we are not able maintain the desired temperature at our facility. After a bit of brainstorming, Dennis came up with the crazy idea of burying the entire batch underground to age the beer. So after spending 3 months digging a massive hole... Just kidding (Dennis couldn't find a big enough shovel to complete the dig)! The beer was actually transported to Beaver, PA where it was stored in a deep underground salt mine at about about 50°F. This maturation period allowed the complex flavors to integrate into a truly wonderful beer. Because of the underground aging process that we used for this beer, we thought that it would be fitting to name it after Vlad the Impaler (Dracula). Thus, we are very excited to offer you Vlad this Wednesday at the taproom. Oh and BTW, you might want to share this beer with a friend or drink it slowly, because the 14.2% ABV will catch up to you.

Bottles will be available Wednesday at the taproom at 5pm. They are $9.75 each or $99 per case. There is a one case limit per person per day.

You must have a thing for stinky cans
Call me crazy but, I definitely noticed the plastic smell from the wrapper on the first cans.
I poured most of the beer into a glass then drank the last few sips from the can and the smell was pretty apparent.
It was obviously not the beer and easily remedied by not drinking from the can. I
I'm a terrible person and I'll see myself out because of it.

The best beers I've had were aged in a Beaver salt mine. Can anyone rewrite this in a way that makes me want to try this beer?
