With never even hearing of Recon until this afternoon, I do have to say this piqued my interest:

BRC
BRC, our flagship beer, is an India Pale Ale bursting with juicy hops courtesy of a huge late addition of Mosaic® and Citra® hops combined with a healthy dry hopping of the same. This beer has a smooth malty backbone and a hop punch that will keep you coming back for more.

Citra and Mosaic is probably my favorite blend in an IPA so I would go to Butler to try this one.

Who wants to have a beer with me tonight at Fat Heads before the Melvins show? Anyone?
I would but I'm stuck at home with the gas of a thousand bowels.
Gassed the bed thrice today. Real troubles. Pent up.

Enjoy the show.

I wish I could go. Ive never seen the melvins but I'm beat and gotta get up too early tomorrow.
This tour doesn't have the best setlist, but I haven't seen them in like 8 years so I kinda have to even though I work at 6am.

Also, Fat Heads Truckin' is one of the few hoppy imperial stouts I've ever liked. Now onto PBR.

I kinda dug the set list, thought the show had a pretty good flow to it too, although i'm not exactly sure what i mean by that.

Nice mix of older faves and newer **** i didn't know.

Wanna see Houdini front to back one day.

I drank a Dales and something else.

Once again, good seeing you when i was drunk. Party on

Is Houdini generally considered their best album? I got it from BMG when I was maybe too young to really get into it, ended up selling it & probably getting a Less Than Jake tape or something equally dumb.

I'm not sure, maybe wycked can chime in, but it was the first one i had and the one i know the best. And i don't remember it being a "first listen and i love it" type of situation when i got it either, but it grew on me and now it's one of my alltimers. I still pulse it into the rotation, usually between Patti Labelle and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

I think they performed it in it's entirety for ATP's Don't Look Back series, where artists would pick a full album & play it live. It's so early 90s - major label debut, Kurt Cobain's involvement, & that Frank Kozik cover.

Agreed. I checked out the set list from previous shows this tour since Basses Loaded isn't so great and didn't know most of the tracks. Turned out to be awesome. That bassist made the show for me, along with Buzzo and Dale obvi.

I would say Houdini is their biggest hit, probably the one with most well known songs. I personally prefer the slower, heavier ones like Lysol and Bullhead, but Houdini always gets my blood flowing.

This was my first RIS & at the time it seemed so smooth & rich, but yeah, any more it's like hop & coffee ground city.
Mine too, but never seemed smooth to me. Always liked that about it though.

This thread is so random

Try a Smells Like Bean Spirit if you want cigarette ash.
And it all comes full circle.

Randomly looked on Brew Gent's page to see their taplist and couldn't find more than just the 5 + 2 meads. Is that all that's on right now. I thought I remembered a much bigger list when you go to "Menu"

It's all that they have on right now. They got wiped out over the weekend and are trying to catch up. It turns out that people actually read Paste after all.

Ah ok thanks. Well maybe it was a good thing they are closed on Tuesday as I was hoping for other options. Normally not in that area but family went to Kennywood so figured "oh sweet I'll swing by and fill some growlers, doh!"
