I learn more and more every day that I'm simply not cool enough to be here.

not to mention we spend our days interacting with each other on the internet

We're all pretty much disqualified from the get go when it comes to being cool.
I loved last year a beer camp explaining that I was going camping with a group of guys I met on the internet and really didn't know all that well. It's ok though because we all drink beer :confused::confused::)

Always surprises me how many people with otherwise good taste in music are into them. And of course, I'm always surprised by how many people have completely awful taste, too.

Denigrate Axl all you want. Slash is one of the most impressive guitarists I've ever seen play.

I greatly dislike blanket statements that if someone likes a certain band/genre, that their tastes are in question. I'm surprised to hear you say this, Nate.

But what if its true? :p

I think we should weigh out each blanket statement by its own individual merits. ;)
As much as I try to be judicious & anti-snobby when it comes to beer, I'm pretty opinionated when it comes to music (&, to a lesser extent, comedy, apparently). It's not even that I really feel that strongly about it, it's just a fun way to be unnecessarily antagonistic.

What is "trolling"?

reported for trolling

The weirdest thing about fat Axl Rose is that he looks like he is wearing an actual fat suit. Like, it looks as bad as fat Betty Draper, except Axl's is all natural.

Damn you for reminding me of Fat Betty Draper.

But then I got a smile when I remembered the awesomeness of Pete Campbell's late season wardrobe

You seem to know more about baseball than tommyguz, so don't feel too bad.

I'm not comparing us to major league players.

I was comparing mlb players to mlb players

The only thing steroids does is help you recovery faster from injury, meaning more practice time, more reps in the cage. Obviously more practice more playing you get better

Steroids don't make you any better at hitting the baseball other than allowing more practice and playing time

Exactly. These are major league hitters. Nobody on here said if you take roids you will hit the ball with better technique. Roids don't make you a worse hitter or better hitter. If you can hit with more power, it is obviously a huge advantage, already being a major league talent.

Now that that's settled, why can't I find a Charmander around Pittsburgh?!

No that's exactly what was said. They can hit better with steroids . That's why I said it's not the case

Now they've got you afraid to admit that you're a GnR fan... It's a shame.

Fan of Slash, not a fan of Axl. Like a lot of their stuff but they aren't a band I'd run out and see. Mr. Brownstone, Sweet Child, Patience, etc. are great songs though.

EDIT: November Rain as well.
