Nah. No one was asking that.

I'm assuming you're Jacob on the BrewerBros group. I saw your posts from the last day or so debating on what venue to choose for a bottle share. Just wanted to chime in and say that Kickback is far and away the best public place to go to in Pittsburgh for a beer tasting with a group of people, and it's that accommodating and laid back that I would bet it's the best spot in the entire state of PA for something like this. Restaurants like Noodlehead and Piccolo Forno would never be ok with a group of dudes bringing 12+ bombers of beer and hanging around for hours. Kickback charges like $2 a person, has water coolers that you can help yourself to to rinse the glasses, has an open area with round chest high tables so you're not stuck at a table sitting the entire time, and is incredibly laid back. The people that work here are so nice and you never ever feel like you're overstaying your welcome or that they want you to leave. I can't say enough good things about the place.
This is awesome, and I'm definitely excited to meet up there on Sat, but reading that I just kept wondering how they make enough money to keep the lights on.

I think that there was a piece of this shitshow we call a thread asking about where clown shoes went. Well Billionaire just hit the wholesaler and will be available at some fine retailers tomorrow.

Thanks Randy. I guess I am the only putz that gives a **** about Clown Shoes stuff. Even though I was a bit let down by Luchador En Fuego.

Any clue if we will see Trillionaire?

You guys can go back to your endless talking about beer trading now.

I'll get back to my Songs: Ohia and Lagunitas Sucks

I ask the same question every time Kickback comes up in conversation. The rent for a store front on Butler Street can't be cheap these days, and I don't know how they make the money to support this place. Sure, it's a low maintenance place and they only have one employee working on any given evening, but there isn't a cover charge and the money they take in has to be minimal.

That might be what is coming tomorrow. I'll tweet

Now that Pittsburgh has been getting some pretty limited stuff as of late, any chance we see Mexican Cake? Or am I getting too greedy here?

I am a clown shoes fan. I agree with you on the luchador, can't speak to the most recent version however I wasn't overly impressed when I had and am a big fan of the style. Actually might be my least favorite of that style.

I'll give Trillionaire a shot if I see it. Their stuff has been very hit or miss for me thus far. First iteration of Billionaire = big hit. Second iteration = big miss. Had Crasher in the Rye twice. First bottle was great, second was ****.

*Edit*

There were some issues with the poll that I created, so I created a new poll in the brewerbros Facebook group about the best start time for Saturday night's kickback share. The options are for 6, 7, or 8 pm start so feel free to comment below if you are not in the FB group.

**Double edit**

Based on some feedback, we can also move this to Friday night. So, if you're interested in going to a bottle share at kickback then please vote on the Facebook poll or comment below. There are 3 options for each day - 6, 7, or 8 pm start for either Friday or Saturday night. The time with the vote majority by Thursday night will be chosen.

The time with the majority vote will win and this will be finalized Friday night. Based on the turn out, I'll try to limit the tete pours to ~2-3oz per person so that most people will get a chance to try it!

Looks like I'm going to be free Saturday evening so I will throw my name as interested in attending, have been wanting to check this Kickback place out. I believe this all came about by the opening of a Blabaer, something I have been wanting to try for a while. Hey greg4579 is this what you were talking about? Oh and I have beer that needs drank as well

Unpopular opinion: roundabout gose is better than Westbrook. Westbrook a lacto bomb, where the roundabout version is more nuanced. As far as gose goes (unintentional wordplay), Stillwater ftw.

I'm interested in this as I found the second version to be far superior, as clown shoes seems to have dialed in their barrel program a good bit more. Plus, better cognac barrels. A barleywine in scotch barrels, sign me the **** up.

People go nuts for Westbrook Gose and, in my parts, Union Old Pro Gose (which is better than Westbrook), because they say they are perfect beers to pound in warmer months. How can someone drink more than one of either of those beers? Just one dimensional and very sour. I don't get it.

Stillwater Gose Gone Wild is the truth. I wish that were in 6 pack cans. Not overly sour. Could have a few.

Ritterguts Gose is my favorite, but I have never seen it in MD.

I really hated Gose Gone Wild.. haha I could barely even finish it.

It had a really odd edge to it for me. It tasted like it had sassafras in it.

Funny you say that, I had b1 a few times and loved it. B2 I only tried a little sample of and thought it had a weird finish. I chalked it up to the fact that the glass was dirty, and I was, in fact, drunk.
