Will be visiting tired hands for the first time on Saturday. Interesting to read some past experiences. I'm just hoping the beer is good, not so much worried about pretentious ****** bartenders.

I had to think about it, but The Residents came to me. Thinking in terms of mystique & mythology that's so affected & forced (though Beefheart's pretty spot on). Or Daft Punk.

I will never, ever understand the appeal of Daft Punk. Just one of those bands to me, I guess.

Edit: The best part about Daft Punk is a LCD Soundsystem song.

I have never been to the new place and made it to the original place once. The food was what really stood out to me, specifically the bread.

Just got back from a trip to Nashville, fit in a few brewery stops at some of the more recently opened breweries:

Bearded Iris
Smith & Lentz
Southern Grist

All had solid offerings, but in general the beer scene in Nashville has a lot of room for growth.

That's the most hilarious half-compliment to me, I'm actually laughing out loud now. It's like in Curb Your Enthusiasm when Cheryl's friend tells Larry that his movie was the perfect length.

I didn't experience anything like noslen did, but I've only been once. I also didn't really spend any time up at the bar.

It is funny to me how different people have completely different experiences at breweries. Take Cigar City for me. I like their beers and was really underwhelmed when I went there. Could've been the staff that day and the combo of patrons that were there, but I have 0 desire to head back there.

Yeah I mean I am not some yelp keyboard warrior with an itchy trigger finger waiting to spout of if people don't cater to me, but both times it was just so over the top for me to not at least vent on talkbeer hah.

I had the same experience as well. I might be the only one who doesn't care much for their non barrel aged stouts.

Stopped at the Tired Hands Fermentaria on the way back from my work trip to the dirty jerz.

They are the biggest group of pretentious pricks ever. I swear they have a meeting before they open where they get in a big circle and huff each others farts.

I had the same experience the first time I stopped a couple years back, but had to stop by and see if maybe they were just having a bad day. Sucks because I do think they make some damn good beer, but that will be the last time I stop.

/rant
Maybe they just don't like you

Seriously though, what exactly did they do to make you have a bad experience? I'm sure they would want to know if you were treated poorly.

Anyone have Rivertowne's Mazy 2X Chocolate Milk Stout? I had it last evening & have been beating the drum on various social media outlets since. It's on nitro & super chocolatey - I honestly think it's a contender with Cowbell.

How can they have a 2x beer. ST will be in Pittsburgh soon....gonna be trebble

BTW, anyone know this goober?

http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...ck-iso-collection-of-12-mainly-stouts.413877/

Who the hell is going to have 12 of the 16 he listed when they are that random?

Ha. But he prefers DBA, BA and other variants so there's more than 16

So he's trading his MPGs for beer? Seems foolish in the long run, gas is going back up

I'll trade gas for beer. Fuel perks baby, for me gas don't cost nothin

The allure of the last daft punk album is that it was all recorded with real musicians and instruments and the recording quality is very high. It's a great album songwriting-wise as well.
