Specifically what good things have you heard? Seemed awfully douchey to me. But at least they probably spent an obscene amount of money on the buildout to make it that way. Looks like they probably have pretty good coffee though.

I haven't been there yet but my wife has a few times and loved it. The drinks aren't cheap, but it seems like a quieter type place that you can go to and actually hear the person sitting next to you (i realize how old i sound saying that). Apparently the coffee is good and they have breakfast sandwiches and stuff like that to go in the morning. It appears to be a nice alternative to the rest of the places in the neighborhood that you have to cram into like a can of sardines.

I have absolutely no desire to go to this place. Just because it's a better option than Industry for beer (duh) and a lesser coffee option than Espresso a Mano (duh) doesn't mean it's good. Just an investment group's idea of what Lawrenceville needs (it already has more than enough).

Maybe they can add a tattoo parlor and a vape shop too.

Honestly though, do we need more breweries? Might be a fair question to ask. They keep opening more and more and more and yet I still only visit two of them.

Part of that is how lazy I am though, so maybe I'm not the right person to answer that.

Looks like that have decent taps and good coffee. My friend also said they were showing Star Wars IV, V, and VI simultaneously on their 3 flat screens.

They also have a nice enclosed outdoor space which is kind of hard to find.

I was there with my wife for dinner last friday evening. It was a full house but everything is spaced out enough that it wasnt overcrowded. The crowd in the bar was upscale douchey imo but they had a nice draft list and we didnt wait for very long before we got a table.

Food was decent.
They brew commonplace coffee.
And they open 30 minutes before espresso a mano.

I work in WV and everyone always asks me why I live and hour away. I don't have the heart to tell them why..

I know I opened this can, and I probably shouldnt have, but do we all subscribe to the notion that this is what WV is? I will give that some, if not all, of southern WV could be lumped into this. Maybe even some of the more isolated and rural areas in the central part of the state belong with this notion, but definitely not the northern part. But hey at least we can all relate to the first "dialect". (and maybe mostly the third?)

Nah I'm with you. I'm from Marion County and I'm always beating this drum to people with little to no success though, so I've given up.

I work in the panhandle, right next door to the Mountaineer in Newell. And no, that was definitely an embellished stereotype. With that said, I can't stand most people from this area, and that includes south eastern Ohio. They are not all trashy rednecks, but it is a completely different world here than I have ever experienced anywhere else in this country. Which is crazy, being less than an hour from cities like Pittsburgh and Youngstown. Not good or bad, just not something I'm interested in being a part of.

All true. A little more to his point (in a way) the state really is very divided culturally from my experience. The north central part of the state really does tend to be more Pennsylvania/Ohio-like while the southern part is, well, exactly what you think it is.

I'd like to add how it amazes me everyday how nobody at my plant is self sufficient. I am in charge of the Health and Safety of 500 people in just this building and they have no clue how to care for themselves. We have ambulances here weekly because they will not go to the doctor for blood pressure, die beetus, heart problems, etc. I have found employees face down on the ground because they ran out of black market blood thinners and refused to go to the doctor because they couldn't afford cigarettes for the week because they won't buy insurance. Yes I know I only see a small part of WV here, but you can see why I'd have a skewed opinion on the people here. I'd hope that the rest of the state has a better mentality of self worth.
