Someone gave me a bottle of that Jim Beam stuff, I expected it to be awful & it was surprisingly not. Still not gonna buy it. The Bud Light joke was a joke because the same company that owns Goose Island owns Bud Light

There will BCBS and at least 1 variant at all the Market Districts. Donaldson Crossroads will also have variants. As for the Bud light sales, GE tries to provide all the beers that people want not just the ones that the buyers and I want. Ultimately, cutomers decide how much of any beer is sold.

Not trying to dunk on you dude, dunking on BCBS in general.

Since I know there are some out of towners and possibly heavy travelers who frequent this thread, and since I'm scared to venture into other threads, let's see if anybody here can answer this query:
I'm planning on driving south to Florida and/or New Orleans soon (hopefully in a week or so), and was wondering if there are any spots along the way that typically have bcbs sitting on shelves. How's the NC distro?
I also may be driving back and forth a couple times over the course of the winter, so if anyone knows of any awesome sounding beer releases or events in the south this winter, I would be very interested.

No BCBS on shelves in Charlotte. Perhaps elsewhere in the state though, not sure. If you’re gonna try anyway, a Total Wine would probably be your best bet.

It's so strange to me how BCBS is a shelf turd in certain parts of the country. I saw it on the shelf in New Mexico, NE PA, and Delaware all in the past six months.

Also that new saison they have on is worth checking out for those making the run. Had a hard time going there over pacific ring but did not disappoint.

Not quite on the level of rum ba porter (uvm2003 was kind enough to open recently) and Heini’s but still very nice. Smells amazing and complex (caramel, brown sugar, raisin, prune, plum, just a touch of umami, barrel, vanilla, coconut). Taste hits in the same territory but falls a little short of all that and finishes a little in a flat cola vein for me, which I’m admittedly a little sensitive to. Easily worth seeking out. Remains baffling that this stuff hangs around as long as it does.

Only really interested in regular and vanilla though. Bramble and orange sound gross. I haven't heard about anyone getting bw or wheatwine but I'd give those a shot too. I would, but Black Friday morning is one of those days of the year where it's understood that my wife has a standing plan to go shopping with her mom. By the time she gets home to relieve me of child duty, everything will be gone.
