Any other favorite beers of the festival? I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about those AC beers yet (good or bad).
AC Rocky Road was awesome! German cupcake was a bit much for me.

Other highlights:
FO Brewer's Reserve
Casey Grape Viognier Cut
Bokkereyder Pjassel
Peach Meerts :)
K13 Pappy
Weldwerks Peach Pie

No, I don't think any wholesaler is bringing it in. The importer for the brand is split between 4 different wholesalers the area so I don't even know who would have the rights.
man. that's unfortunate. they make some tasty ****. maybe I can look if I travel to Ohio or NY or something.

There were so many instances where my initial reaction after putting my nose to it or taking the first sip was excited and optimistic then by the end of the glass, I didn't even want to finish the beer. I generally don't mind some sweetness but holy ****, most of these were a chore to drink. BAIGCCS, both More beers, Paisley Cave, both Moksa stouts...barely drinkable to me. And the thing is they all smelled so damn good and were great up to about 1oz. But more than that is just too much.

Highlights for me...

Stouts:
Medianoche
Zangief

IPAs:
Equilibrium Fluctuation

Sour realm:
Advanced Blackberry Cut
Pjassel
Wijngaard Melange
Wijngaard (Muscat and Reisling) <- my favorite of the Bokkes

Other:
3 Sons Sxxxy Colombiana

Best in show was Horus Swainson. I loved that beer.

No ********, that was a kick ass event.

Dope. Wood bang again.

Longest line I waited in was probably about 5 minutes. As long as you had some semblance of what would be likely to kick first, theres no reason to have missed any beer. Pretty much any beer besides the Bokkeryder stuff you could have easily had several pours of if you wanted to. Pretty sure I had at least a 12 oz bottles worth of both of each Bottle Logic beers and 2 Live Gran Cru Volume 1, which btw was hands down the best beer of the event imo, and tasted just as good as the day it was released for BRC 1. ****, Pappy K13 and Zangief were on the whole time from noon until 4 and didn't kick.

Yeah there was literally nothing I had my heart set on that I didn't have the opportunity to try at least twice. Serious.

It was a really well run and calm festival. It was worth every penny and I've yet to hear any dissention.

From my side of the table it was awesome. The crowd was super polite the entire time and pretty understanding when we ran out of that hour’s pour. I agree it was super relaxed all around. Voodoo went above and beyond to help out all of the brewers/pourers with everything from extra tubs for ice and bottles to making sure all of the staff was fed and hydrated. Simply an awesome day all around from both sides it seems.

Echoed all around. I was panicking since we got there on the 'later' side (around 11:20) and it looked like a huge crowd was forming. Once we were inside though, it was much more manageable. Longest lines were for the usual suspects, but I hit a few lower-key breweries first and circled around when the initial wave passed through. Like PSUMike said, there was nothing I wanted to try that I didn't, and you could get multiple pours of heavy hitters with no issue if you wanted to. Very well run event for sure!

Sure, beer and stuff...

.....but how sweaty were everyone's balls?

What is the optimal underwear selection for a mid-summer beer fest? Standard boxer briefs? Compression shorts? Regular boxers (to improve airflow)? Man-thong?

One of the worst pranks I ever seen was while working a warehouse job in my highschool years at a prominent local amusement park. One guy replaced another guys GoldBond with garlic powder. It was “applied” before he realized...
Well. I know what I'm doing at work this week. Gold Bond Parmesan everything.

I feel you on all this. At one point I felt like some of these were so far removed from tasting like beer that they were going for the old obligatory homebrew contest winner where all you gotta be is the most extreme and thats what gets you remembered as a standout.

I went into this fest with about as much “dont give a ****, just want to have a good time” attitude that anyone could possibly have. I knew nothing about 90% of these breweries in attendance and made zero attempt to learn anything about them beforehand. To the extent that I was just hanging out and listening to what other attendees were saying were the “must try” things then id go get a pour (or try to.)

I had no idea that bokkengoatrideordye had a ******* fantome blend until after it was gone. I think I even approached SeaWatchman and asked him to pull a bottle out his pants or something cuz I couldnt believe it came and went without me knowing aboot it.

Was really a wonderful time seeing some faces I have not seen in ~5 years and got to meet some new peeps too. Consider me ******* amazed that seemingly noone gave a **** about Zangief being available for pours for the entire duration. I drank no less than a dozen pours of zangy and completely blacked out upon return to our hotel.

I wondered why you hadn't come back around for that.

Oh.

I take it you’re the friend Tom Guzick was telling me about. If we find an occasion to get together I have a bottle of the Fantome blend to share with you.

My name’s Eric by the way, I was pouring with SeaWatchMan .

Zomersaison was the one I missed and it was the one I wanted to try the most. Kicked with about 10 people in line in front of me. That was my only major letdown of the event but it was my own fault for not understanding how they were pouring the Bokke beers.

Well that and the BAIGCCS. That was a major letdown.

More Double Rainbow was the worst. Smelled great, the second it wasn't too cold, it turned artificial as hell.

Good Vibes was the a stellar festival. I'm quite certain it will suck next year based on how smoothly things went this time around, attracting a larger crowd, but I have my pubes crossed. I think I met tommyguz's father in law at Good Vibes. Seemed like a decent fellow. I told him my internet name and then he walked away. I went to Timber Creek not long after the festival and begged the waitress to not give me a beer list. I think I ate some cheese and then broke into my parents cottage because my key wasn't working. I'm disappointed the neighbors did not call the police.

I bought a 3 month subscription because I hate money and I love cured meat.
