Excellent question. I’m glad you asked.

Much like you, I enjoy the big sloppy boozy mess that is the Bruery
I do too and I haven't had one in ages.

That's a hell of a box preluderl.

I've been on a beer buying freeze due to a surprise kitchen remodel but hopefully I'll be back soon. I'm going to voodoo early Sunday afternoon if any one else is getting out.

Gonna be some class A shitposting in here this weekend thanks to your boy preluderl

Haven’t had a nice ass box of Pittsburgh goodies like this in a long time.

Thanks Ryan - you’re the man.

Time to get the show in the road...

DG - Stained Glass Ceilings - honestly maybe the first DG beer I’ve ever had that I would call just “okay”. Certainly not bad and I didn’t not enjoy it, was just expecting more. Haven’t had their **** in a long ass while though, so maybe they’ve lost something?

Voodoo - Blips and Chitz - pains me to say it, but this beer was horrendous. Hideously dark and oxidized to all hell. Drain Pour. I know this is not what they were intending for this to taste like so guessing something has gone awry in the packaging process.

0 for 2. Whoever said I was a homer?

This next beer made up for it. Best in class. Flawless.

Listening to this ATDI record for the first time since the first week it was released. I still like it. Posting the pic for the benefit of Matthouse3 only.

BG growler up next so get ready for some shameless BG superlatives.

BG is just the ****.

I'm sorry but I miss this brewery more than any other (except maybe Fat Heads?). Haven't had a bad beer from these dudes in years. Thanks brewgentlemen and preluderl - best drunk I've been in months. You know the beer is good when it induces 10+ year old George W influenced hip hop records.

Report back...missed out on that BRC entirely :( and no one really posted about it in here.

Reporting back (and x-posting from last night's DDT):

This is phenomenal. Nice mellow bourbon nose, medium body, a little drier than the Black Magicks tend to be. Cocoa, butterscotch/caramel and a little vanilla. Just the right amount of carb for a big BA stout, and medium bourbon heat as it goes down. Would have thought it was closer to 11% than 15%. Big beer, but very well executed.
