Matthouse3 what would you say is the best version of Rachel McAdams? I'm gonna go Wedding Crashers.

Yeah I would have to agree 100%. She just really hits my spot. She was great in True Detective even though that season kinda sucked. You catch a nice glimpse of her ample back door in Morning Glory.

I've seen an embarrassing amount of her movies.

I'd stand next to her in line at Gaucho, if you know what i'm sayin.

Just picked up a crowler of Mashmellow from Hitchhiker. Out of curiosity, I asked the bartender if she knew how much cereal was used in the batch. "This much," she said, & pulled out a contractor bag with the words "Curnt Chorkula" spray-painted on the side.

Wife and I stopped in tonight too. Mashmellow was really tasty as was Myrcene.

I didn't even think they came from a dumpster jagoffbrewer

I can’t recall where on fb I saw it this weekend but was BG Brukfust bottled? It wasn’t a growler, def looked like a labeled “Brukfust” bottle in the picture.

Anyone watch Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain last night? Pittsburgh was the focus, and they spent a decent amount of time talking about Braddock.

Welp, I guess I'm the only one, so let me summarize.

You hipster ********* who dare go to Braddock to buy $7 beers are ruining Braddock.

It's strange to me that they'd talk much about Braddock because it's such a small area that's not even in the city proper. Can you elaborate? Is it the old gentrification argument? Is there anywhere I can watch this online?

I threw up somewhere but i don't know where and it's making me nervous.

EDIT: Happy Monday
Lagunitas hoppy beers and southern tier 2xipa get me bad every time. I remember reading that lagunitas mashes all their beers real high so there's a higher unfermentable sugar content, maybe that's why?

From what I can gather, it was a less than subtle dig. Color me shocked considering the source.....

Yeah, RE gentrification.

They talked about Braddock a good bit. They had John Fetterman on, as well as Franco Harris. Also talked a good bit about Kevin Souza and Superior Motors.

The funny part to me was that they painted Kevin Souza as a hero for setting up shop in Braddock, directly after some back handed throw away comments which depicted BG as some hipster ******** who set up a brewery in the ghetto and didn't care about the community.

Full disclosure, I don't know Kevin Souza at all. He seemed like a good dude who cares about the community. And maybe I'm off base about all of it, I'm open to being wrong, but I thought it painted BG in a very unfair and inaccurate light.

I seent it. Too many thoughts to articulate right now. I might later. Or not.
I'm helpful.

I'd genuinely like to know what you thought. I'm attempting to be thoughtful and not just fly off the handle like a jackwagon.

But my initial reaction was that it was a lot of ********.

I watched it. I dug it for the most part. Too much time spent on Braddock, missed some other key parts of the city, but I'm sure every single person who had their hometown covered by a show like this is probably always disappointed a little. Tough to fit everything you want to see in a 45 minute show.

My groundbreaking thoughts...gentrification is kind of bad but also kind of good.

Pittsburgh isn't my hometown so I like (hope?) to think that I provide a little bit of a different perspective. But a lot of what was said just seemed factually off base to me.

Set aside the Braddock segment, a lot of what was said about why the Civic Arena (The Igloo, Mellon Arena, whatever) was constructed was factually inaccurate.
