HAHA...are you get frustrated with me, Greg? I'm so sorry to have disappointed you with my laziness.
(For the record, I meant OP of the thread...too many instructions)
Why can't the OP just say that?
IN.
I’ve always tried to give an honest review no matter the brewery or what hatorade you think I have. Seeing tons of DoubleMex ft iso gnvp tells me all I need to know.Even if DoubleMex was better, you and your butt buddies would never admit it.

Side note. Note cool on the homophobic name calling. Tells a lot about you as a person
How is that illogical? Doesn’t take a genius to see lots of DoubleMex ft meaning they want rid of it. And are wanting a better beer thus the iso gnvp. That's entirely illogical, but you know that. Just your same ole' story, same ole' song and dance.

This! I hate how these two breweries continue to be pitted against one another.
It would make more sense to me to compare Voodoo or BG to breweries outside of the area. But we continue to fuel some perceived weirdness between them by alluding to one or the other in light of whatever recent release is happening. It's just pointless.
I would love that. I have no issues with BG, it's the ridiculous fandom that bothers me (as I'm sure many of you hate me for). The difference I see is Voodoo has earned the fan following with breweries all over the world wanting them to collab or pour at their festival and having one of the best BA programs out there. Hell, the guys are currently in Paris with their beer. BG makes some great beer but the mega fans on this page talk about them like the greatest thing in the world then **** on me or others who give an honest opinion that beer "x" is good but not mind blowing. This, it makes no sense. I don't understand why in the world these two breweries can't co-exist without some feeling they have to **** on one or the other.

Nice! That's cool you got GNVP. If Voodoo hadn't done a spur of the moment announcement people would have driven from all over to get it. I remember that's how it used to be with BRC releases. Talking to people as you sat in the street overnight "oh you're from DC? you traveled from Chicago/Minnesota etc?" Locals would really get shut out then."better" isn't the correct term. "available" might be closer, but not for everyone.
Speaking for myself, I had no shot whatsoever at getting a double mex.. 3:00 or earlier on a weekday to line up to get a "ticket"? not when the 8 miles takes 30-50 minutes to get there from the north side.. spending 3 hours in the car (at 8am) on a saturday, pass on that too. then do it again the next day? hard pass. yes, I know it's clearly my fault for living ~45 minutes north of the city..
did I want to try it? yep. kinda sad. oh well.
gnvp.. announced in the afternoon. left work on time at 4:30. didn't even bother going to homestead. 1 hour drive to meadville, got 2 bottles and a pour. 1 hour drive home.
for me it was availability.
did I like it? had more cinnamon than last year, little less barrel heat, so for me, yep, better than last years. trade a bottle for a doublemex? doubtful. much more likely I will try to trade for an FO+ or DB VSS+ or something else much more in my flavor "range"
just 2 cents..
What would happen if they ever collaborated on a BA brew?

To be fair (and to say nothing about ratios), if GNVP were released first and DM second, we likely would’ve seen some percentage of those FT/ISOs flipped, especially locally.
