Do you think it helped that the sour beer was also kinda lousy?

Honestly, I've experienced this at shares as well where an IPA I had there was off the charts good and then when revisited was less impressive. I always chalked it up to variance/age/palette shift/whatever. I never put the pieces together until last night.

A prime example off the top of my head is Focal Banger. The Philly guys brought some to the share before Gratitude Day and VBRR #3 last year. It was incredible. I had a 6 pack of it a few weeks ago. While still one of the best IPAs on the planet, it wasn't the same. It always seems IPAs taste better to me at shares and I'm now attributing that to having a sour beer prior. At a share a few months ago, Dogleg brought Yellow Rose and it blew me away. I'm left wondering what my opinion of it would be if I get my hands on another bottle.

After one of you gets the Veil hookup, you should trade for some Transient stuff. I rec'd a few of their beers (Juice is Loose, Cromulent, and Weko) from the ever-generous GRDave, and they were better than the few offerings I've had from Treehouse and Trillium. I am a bold-flavored West Coast IPA guy from way back, but these beers blew me away.

I haven't been blown away by anything from Veil. All solid (Crucial Taunt, Crucial Aunt, Cat Boy, Master Shredder, and Never Enough) but nothing as good as the 3 cans being released today. If I were going to trade for anything I'd be looking at Trillium or Bissell Bros

If anybody wants vandelay cans, I'd get here earlyish. That seems to be what we're shortest on (~11 cases, unless I'm horribly miscounting). More than twice as much bspp, and even more h2p.

I don't mind babies/kids as long as they aren't unruly but bringing your dog some place is a choice. I like dogs a lot but no ones dog wants to be at a brewery with them.

I don't mind babies, but dogs sniffing my back while I drink is not my thing. It is the main reason I don't go there anymore.

ive never taken my dog to a bar/brewery, but dont mind them at all. in fact the first time i was at bg, the rottweiler going around greeting everyone was a huge plus in the overall experience.
