I recently learned that Boulevard should begin distro in our neck of the woods sometime in August. While im not a huge fan of some of their core beers it will be nice to see some of their gems like tank 7 and other beers from the smokestack series.

I had a bottle of their bourbon barrel quad over the weekend that i found to be a delightful treat.

So despite Marte and Polanco having career first halves of the season, only Melancon makes the all star game. And the entire Cubs infield is starting?

I hate you, Phil. Jam the ballot box much?

Plus Kang...

Honestly though, the only one I'd argue against is Russell. Diaz from StL is having a better year despite being a little shaky defensively. Hard to argue against Rizzo, Zobrist, and Bryant though. Could make a case for Goldschmidt but that's about it.

Redfin must not have consulted Draft magazine before coming up with their list - http://draftmag.com/best-beer-bars-2016-northeast/

Has anyone been to the other Philly bars listed (other than Monks)? Been looking for some more options for my next Philly trip and Monks just isn't worth the hassle, especially after my last stop there.

I've been to every bar on that list and can say without a doubt that none of them are in Pittsburgh.

No Bocktown Monaca?

Fountain Porter might be the best bar I've ever been to. They always have a fantastic draft list and a really good burger that is like $5. Tria Taproom is good as well. I'd add Local 44 to the list which is probably my personal favorite. They are worth going to for their food alone and always have a good tap list also a great bottle shop attached. Theresa's right outside of Philly is another great one. I haven't liked Memphis taproom and Strangeloves much. Checked both of them out and they don't make the rotation when I go there.

Listing this made me so bummed realizing how many better beer bars are in Philly than here.

In addition to their stellar tap lists and up to date tap list menu, the one aspect I enjoy about Philly is that its beer bars have a distinct feel and personality to them. I feel like most of the craft bars in Pittsburgh all have that generic Urban Tap / Industry Public House vibe to them, and I'll never find beer that I would enjoy at these places as I would at say Voodoo or Brew Gentlemen or Roundabout. Probably a reason why I hardly ever go to regular bars anymore, and when I do, it's Independent Brewing Company.

To answer your question Troy, I would agree with what Evahflow recommended along with Eulogy and Hawthorne's (beer cafe with awesome brunch).

I ******* love Strangelove's, a must stop anytime I am there. First time I was there they had Cantiloooon Gueuze on tap. Their food is also amazing.

When you show me a place in Philly where you can get a $1.50 Yuengling and good, full bar wings (whole chicken wing, fried until crispy, season salt), then maybe I'll believe that Philly has better bars than Pittsburgh.

*******, I wish more places did whole wings instead of ****** little wing dings drowning in overly sweet sauces.
