Aerated through a strainer last night and had huge foamy bubbles. I decided to clean up a little and lost track of time and about 20 minutes went by until I got to pitching the yeast. The big bubbles were gone and there was a thin foam on the top of the wort kinda like when a head recesses after 5 minutes of a pour. Does aeration hold that long?
I see a little krausen but I am scared that it is only from me toping off gently with bottled water to hit my volume (which I did shortly after pitching the yeast after I read my hydro and overshot my OG). That might have aerated it a little but not as much as I should have.
Thanks!
