So here is what Im thinking. I got the beginners kit with the primary, better bottle and bottling bucket. Soooooo, I could have a pipeline in a way if I always use the better bottle for the secondary and start a new batch when I switch it over. So theoretically I could make a batch every couple of or weeks or sooner. Sounds firm to me. Is that how it works?

can you drink 5 gallons of beer every two weeks? if not then you have to find a place to store the growing number of bottles

I suppose if I tried harder than normal I could pull it off. You know, if I REEAALLY tried hard, and quit my job! The question was on theory not practicality I suppose. I want to get a head start on the pipeline then slow down so I dont have to fill in the gaps later with something other than what I have brewed....and I plan on sharing.

if you are bottling, just keep gathering bottles. The hardest part isn't the pipeline, it's the 'when i ask my friends for empty bottles they expect brew in return' problem. perhaps a good exchange rate would be 6 *clean* cap-able bottles for you, for each 12 oz home brew for them :)

That's pretty much how it works. Granted, I've only been brewing for about a year now and still can't manage to get my pipeline filled up. Its always one thing or another. Either something comes up (llike me moving in about 10 days), or a party where I take a case of beer to, or whatever, but in theory, you are correct. Keep brewing. A batch can sometimes go alot faster than you realize, especially if its good.

I keep telling myself I'm going to really get going on backing up the pipeline after I get moved, and actually have storage space for fermenting instead of the floor of my closet.

i now have 300 sq feet devoted to brewing, fermenting, and storage. is my pipeline full? no. inevitably i think to myself, "I don't need to brew, i'll just sample XYZ...".

the best pipeline is the pipline you forget about, and that your friends forget about as well.

I suppose if I tried harder than normal I could pull it off.....

I laughed at that.

I think you can do it.

You have to break it down into more manageable sizes. Let's see... That's about 2 case for 2 weeks. That means a case a week. That still seems like a lot. Let's say that you drink a 6 pack on Friday and a 6 pack on Saturday, that leaves 12 beers for the rest of the week. You would only have to drink about 2 beers a day for the other five days. ;)

See? You can do it!!!
