Pink hops?

Plant shoots often have an excess of sugars, and those are stored as insoluble anthocyanins until nighttime when the insoluble complex sugars are broken down into simple sugars and moved to where they are needed. Totally normal, it shows your hops have access to excellent light.
Somebody sold you a bill of goods. You appear to have in your possesion H. japonacus - japanese hops. (Google it) It is an invasive species and should be destroyed. No good for brewing at all. I could be wrong so find some good pics of jap hops online and compare for yourself. They have the pink tinged cones you describe. Good luck!
It's one picture, but I was going to agree with Jagdad. As soon I read "pink" I was thinking H. Japonacus.
Chicago has a very short list of invasive plants that will get you fined as they demand immediate destruction. The Japanese hop is on that list. "Brewing" hops are clearly marked as different and do not need to be destroyed. I've never seen them, but they are suppose to be 'pink' and they are suppose to be aggressively invasive.
