We had this conversation a few pages back, but the "slow pour" at Dovetail I find makes for a better beer due to the long lasting / amazing retention on the head of the beer.

However, it takes 45 seconds to a minute vs. 3 minutes + like you all are talking about. Still creates a bottleneck for the bartenders on a busy day / night.

Pretty sure they were slow pouring Poetica at HF yesterday. Kevin pulled one for me

Ok, I am going to say it. While Suraez Palatine Pils is fantastic, I think, for my taste, Live Oak is still my favorite. It is a little more full in the mouthfeel dept. and has more bite to it, which I really like. ******* it Texas, y you so far away.

Interesting. What you would call bite I would call harshness, while I think LO is a really good beer I prefer Palatine for the reverse reasons

To continue on slow pouring, the head on this lasted forever. There was still a good bit left by the time the beer was gone.

Had this one last week. Really tasty, had a lot of crackery/sweet malt balanced with some citrus/floral hops. Very light and drinkable. My only complaint is that it was a bit low on carbonation but otherwise very good.

Anyone know how many 12oz cans fit in a USPS medium flat rate? Local place had TX beer 20% off, so I bought 6 x 6 packs of Pilz and 2 x 6 packs of Hefe. Could easily send 4-5 boxes out at cost, cans came to basically $1.20 each.

Plesantly surprised by this one. Pipeworks tends to do a lot of gimmicky beers, but this no-frills pilsner is top notch. It's nice and dry with a balanced bitterness and just the right amount of saaz lingering in the after taste. This one's a winner.

t's funny to see ABGB at #1 too. I always seem to forget about them and I work 5 minutes away, lol. They crowler now too, so I guess the next pilsner boxes I send will have to have some.

That Breakside I just tried the other day at 21, nice.

I tried Legend Has It recently and had no idea it was a pilsner, tastes like any other IPA out there. Weird to include it in my opinion.

And not surprised by ABGB, their stuff is good.

Not shocking to see those outside the top 50 if the bottles weren't super fresh and well taken care of.
