Good news - new Mirage cans out this weekend, including a 4% Helles:

*SLUG-PROOF, 4.0% ABV, is an 8-week Helles lager brewed with experimental hop varieties: X04190 and WSU11059-059. Available in 4pks of 16oz cans for $16 or $96/case.

When I picked up some Jonron bottles a few weeks back Michael poured me some of the Slugproof from the tank and it hit the spot. 4% helles should be perfect for this weather. The price is... ambitious, but then it has been in tank since May.

Good, but it's no Ski Mask.

And what's with these new labels?

About 1.5 months old, but tastes fresh. Hop aroma is complex and a nice blend of noble varieties. Lots of crackery cereal malt flavor. Finishes firmly bitter but in balance.

Could go through a case of this quickly.

I thought the flavor was great but the lack of head retention made me sad... it's not a proper lager if your glass doesn't look like a fancy napkin at the end.

Matchless' Brewer's Special Saaz pilsner is so damn good.

Going to keep blowing up the pilsner thread as long as I am in Seattle. Flavor on this one rules. Spicey cracker. Wish it had a bit more head retention.

Nice. I’m picking up a metric ton of Floodland tomorrow. My Oakworks stuff and also the allocations for three other people. Hope I’ve got enough bottle carrier bags.

I really hope Two Beers’ FH is better this year.

Forgot to post but shout out to Threes Brewing. I was in Brooklyn a couple weeks ago and I could've stayed there the whole weekend, multiple pils on that were fantastic. And the bartender was a fellow Boston guy so they've got that going for them, which is nice.

Another delicious STL pils. A light lighter in malt character than the Stammtisch but lacks the nice lingering bitterness on the finish.

Been a while since I've had a decent pilsner. Very tasty beer from Mexico. These guys are one of the best in the country IMO. Floral and grassy bitterness backed by 100% pilsner malt. So drinkable, wish I had 100 of these.

Enjoying this pilsner with my anime ass video game. It's a good mid-ground between a cleaner, czech style pilsner and a maltier, almost oktoberfest-like lager. Clean, but sweet. Counterweight's pilsners are always on point but this is particularly excellent.

Fair State Keller Kazbek. Unfiltered German pils with Czech Kazbek hops. Hoppier and more flavorful than their regular pils. Pretty solid.
