I am wanting to test the pH of my wine that i am making. As i am new and a poor college kid, could i by a pool testing kit and use that to check the acidity of my wine?

Thanks in advance,
Chip

nope. with wine you are measuring Acidity, not pH. You want an acid titration kit.

having been a poor college kid that brewed, all I can tell you is this is a rough hobby to have as a poor college kid. a cocaine addiction is cheaper.

are you making grape wine, or country wine? I use little pH test strips designed for wine all the time on my country wine. I also make cider, which lacks one of the three acids that grapes have.
