Hello,
I just became the new owner of a perlick flow control. Had no idea what these were or what the point was, I have since watched a video.

The problem is my flow control lever swings backwards, it swings back toward the shank and down behind. Took it apart and could only seem to recreate the same issue.

Are there specific instructions (not the perlick cleaning instructions, they do not seem to show my problem) on how to assemble the lever so it is pointed forward?

Thanks.

My Perlick 650s open towards the shank. Is that what yours do?

Do you mean the flow control on side? From what I can see, that side lever should be down for reduced, pull forward and up to increase flow.

On mine, it pushes back away and down to change flow.

Not sure how to explain better in words.

I've taken mine 100% apart for PWB cleaning... and have discovered that the back position is pretty much the same as the front. The only thing that I can think of is that if you were in a brewery where you didn't want your employees F**k**g with the flow setting, you could use the back position and then screw down the lever's neck brace essentially "dialing in" the flow setting. You must have installed the faucet with the lever facing mostly back. Unscrew the faucet head, and loosen up all fittings, and the lever will swing back forward. :)

Pretty awesome design IMHO!

Right now there is beer and pressure on the system. Won't have another chance to pull it apart for a couple weeks.

So I just messed around with my system and it looks like if you disconnect your fluid out port in your keg, take your faucet wrench and loosen the neck, the valve will swing the other way without disassembly.

Cheers!
