I have four of them (just got em). I have yet to use the creamer function, but they seem to work really well so far.

I have them and I like them, but I wouldn't call them a "must have." If they aren't much more expensive than the regular ones, just go ahead and get them. If you end up not liking the creamer option, you don't have to use it.

This is pretty much how I look at it. The difference is around 4$ per faucet, which, if you're already buying the perlicks, is pretty much nothing.

I'm ordering a set of perlick creamers after the holidays myself.

I do a lot of english style beers (pales browns milds IPA's stouts & porters). was just wondering if they work like normal perlicks and just have the option of creaming up the head if needed.

I have 2 standard non perlicks now... I've heard the standards get "sticky" quick. I put some time cash and effort into building kegerator ... just got my christmas bonus and thought about these as a bit of an improvement.

How creamy does it make the head? had reasonable success with jockying the standard tap and playing with flow.

found some new out on ebay for a reasonable price. But I want new golf clubs, and want to build a 10 gallon mash tun with a manifold (copper or CPVC) with a fly sparge too... want want need need. LOL.

In general Perlicks seem to be the way to go from what I've read here... Ive had some probs with the new kegerator, and just want to avoid any future issues if possible. keep life simple. beer get's me through less problems better quality of life

They work like the regular perlicks. I've heard that you can get similar results by only opening the regular perlick faucet part way, which you mentioned you already do with standard faucets. I've never tried doing that.
