Seems to be a lot of posts on this subject.
Thought I'd share my story.
First batch with the new Spidel fermenter. I bought the ball valve for the bottom and the thermowell with blowoff tube for the top. Also got 2 mason jars to deal with the counterpressure from the cold crash.

With a keg completely full of starsan, I purged 2 kegs (10 gallon batch) by pushing CO2 through the beer line. Rather than messing with the pressure valve on the keg, I put on a gas ball lock with an open end into a bucket of starsan.

I clamped the silicone tubing from the blowoff, gave the gas line a puff to clear it, and attached with an adapter to connect the gas line to the 1/2" silicone blowoff tubing.

With CO2 at 2 pounds, I filled the kegs from the ball valve.

So the end result is 2 beautiful oxygen free kegs of beer and 1 keg full of starsan.
While basking in my utter genius, I put one keg in the keezer to carb up.
2 days later I pulled a pint to see how it was going. Hmmm... What is this clear liquid?
I mixed up the 3 kegs and put the starsan keg in the keezer pressurizing at 22 lbs. for 2 days. I've made some bonehead moves in my day but this one tops them all.
Fortunately, no beer was harmed in this stupidity......:oops:
