So I made an American cream ale, woke up in the morning and saw the airlock is overflowing with yeast and wort... I had to leave for work and won't be able to do anything til late tonight... Is it ruined... Can I still save it somehow... Picture below

It will be fine as long as it still has positive pressure pushing out of the airlock when you come home. Just rinse off the airlock and replace it, should be fine!

It's not ruined but it could blow the lid off if the airlock gets clogged
I would get a blow off tube on it this evening until the vigorous part of fermentation slows down

you're ok, not enough space in the carboy or pail? clean it up when you get home. if it's still flowing out look to put in a blow off hose for a few days. search the forum and there are plenty of suggestions

I've had this happen enough times that I now use a blowoff tube for all my brews. I replace it with an airlock as soon as the fermentation calms down.

^This all the time every time no matter what strain of yeast.

Ditto, All my 3 piece airlock are all now missing the cap and the "thing that goes in it" and have been replaced with a length of vinyl tubing. So much easier to not worry about blow off and there's also the fact that I've kept Saisons going for several months no no need to fill up the airlocks.

Thanks guys, hopefully this beer comes out good. It took me about 45 mins to cool down cuz my wort chiller broke and had to put it outside in 19 degree weather also threw ice cubes in it... It was definitely a bitch... I never really had a brew gimme this much of a problem lol.... Cross my fingers it comes out right

So I came home and the lid was popped off, I don't have any equipment for the blow off, so I put the airlock back on and it's bubbling alot! Will this mess up any alcohol content? If I washed alot of crap out of the airlock

shouldn't mess up anything if you can't do a blow off I would place the lid back on but not snap it down until the fermentation slows down and then snap it down
That way it if the air lock clogs again you won't have a potential beer shower over the walls and ceiling just the floor maybe
Should be enough co2 being created to form a blanket on top of beer

K cool and it could be any tubing, I'm assuming? Btw you guys rock thanks
i it would beat if food safe but I guess any port in a storm do you have an extra air lock you could take to store with you?

I don't have an extra air lock... But it's the one where the middle piece inside come off... So I'm reading 1/2 I. D. Does that sound right?
