Orval dregs lag

So I brewed 10 gallons of pale ale split into 2 5 gallon carboys. One got wlp001 the other Orval dregs that had I had stepped up 2 times. I pitched a good 50ml of slurry.

The 001 took off within 12 hours. The Orval still has no visible activity, it has been 5 days since pitch. I have a couple of yeasts banked should I give it more time or build up another starter of Sacc and just try again next time?

Have you taken a gravity reading on the orval carboy?

Not yet. Maybe if I don't get any advice here I will. I just don't want to risk contaminating it.

Nvm opened up the ferm chamber to a bubbling away all Brett pale ale.

does orval filter out the primary yeast? if it doesn't, your pale ale is not all brett...

I don't think so, but my understanding is they bottle condition with Brett and the dregs you get are Brett. Based on the lag time I think it is...
