Hey. My second batch and I'm making a Belgian blonde ale. I'm using ibrewmaster on my iPad and the recipe I was using estimated an OG of 1.067. I measured only 1.032. During my boil I had one flare up of rapid bubbling but it did not boil over as I caught it In time. My question is what may account for the loss in OG? Perhaps I carmelized some sugar in that flare up? Just wonder if there is any insight. Thanks!

That is a huge discrepancy. Can you give your recipe and process? Did you top off with water, which is the first thing I always suspect (i.e. mixing issue).

Edit - Revvy beat me to it.

It is AG. I did top off in my glass carboy after cooling. Recipe was for 1 gallon
1.2 lb castle's pale malt
0.6 lb white wheat
0.6 lb wheat, flaked
0.2 lb oats, flaked.

Measured OG @ 70 deg but the OG I stated (1.032) is adjusted for the temp.
