Hi All,
I was thinking of squeezing a quick brew in with my Grainfather and had a look at some of the grain I have on hand without running to the grain store. I come up with the below weizen-ISH style.
Looking for opinions on this and if you think it would work . 25L BATCH SIZE
3.8KG WHEAT MALT
1.2 KG PALE ALE 2 ROW
1KG SMOKED BEECHWOOD MALT
.500G FLAKED WHEAT

30G HALLERTAUER OR TETTNANG OR SAAZ AT 60 MIN BOIL.

Cheers
L

1 Kg of smoked malt sounds like a lot. I don't know what kind of weizen style beer you want, but I'm kinda imagining that it will turn very " bacony " / smokey and could overpower the rest of the malt and most probably the yeast, if you are going for a hefe yeast.
