Asks for $375 but can't even take a picture of the bottle. FFS, I hope you use the proceeds to buy a camera phone.

Seriously, besides, I thought everyone just stole dontdrinkbeer pictures to throw on their sales. Alternatively I made this for the guy, do you think if I send it over he'll use it?

I really want to post this FT on FB ISO:FT, but I promised Michigan I was done after my chug and drainpour videos.

Not an outrageous price for this one by any means, but check out the hyperbolic description:

As the ten-year anniversary of this this unctuous, full-bodied, ruby-black barleywine approaches, it has truly begun to hit its stride. With a striking array of pure, rich and layered tarry intensity, the seductive aroma features creme de cassis, wood smoke, cocoa-dusted truffles, spice box, jammy blackberries and charcoal. Staggering complexity exudes from opulent body, and the beer is delicious and powerful, possessing a medley of espresso, mocha, and black currant flavors capped with sweet tannins, savory blackcurrant and blackberry fruit deftly touched by toasty oak. Wonderfully textured and downright heavenly, this commemorative beer will evolve favorably for the next 8-10 years.

Yes, a 10 year old American BA barleywine has just "begun to hit its stride". And surely it will "evolve favorably" for another decade.

It might, if you're into certain oxidation flavors. I loved it when I had it and wouldn't be surprised if it was still great after 10 more years.

I loved it too, and maybe it will be. I do think the "hitting its stride" part is still pretty funny considering I can't recall a single comment from a person who's had it several times over the years that thought it's doing better now than it was a few years ago, and I know I've seen several to the contrary.

Nothing special about that. 5th bottling of the season maybe? That's not the 5th label version to ever be used or anything.

Any thoughts on the "arguably the most complex blend Jean has ever produced" hype from the seller? Just ******** to try and move the beer or is there something interesting there?

That cocoa-dusted truffle aroma. Also, WTF does spice box smell like?
