if you're going to say "i can add to get this done", then why isn't that + part of your offer to begin with.

I would say that putting "I can add [specific +]" to get this done puts a cap on how much you're willing to trade whereas including that specific plus as a part of your initial trade offer opens you up to being asked for more from a potential trader.
