Same reason that Scooop went like it did. It has the 3 sons name attached to it and 3 sons makes incredible beer. It's got the hype behind it. I think the only reason people are hating on it is because a couple people came out swinging hard trying to flip the flager bottles for kbbs. And once you do that...well, we have no choice but to laugh.

Are we sure any 3Sons is "incredible" to the point of KBBS level? I've only had the AB Summation which was quite good, but I've yet to talk to anyone who would pick a 3Sons beer over KBBS if given that choice.

TBH, I'm not sure. I've had everything 3 sons has brought to past couple huna days. And JBM35 and AB summation are pretty close if not on par. I would need to try them side by side though since i've had them so far apart. KBBS has more hype though since it's been in the public spotlight more so i don't think they would trade 1:1. but I think they are about equally good.

08 tasted gross last year. But tikkas gotta tikk

I think the only reason people are hating on it is because it is created in homebrew quantities for hype and the bottles available for trade are controlled and manipulated by the brewer and someone who most don't agree with his practices or the site he's affiliated with.

FTFY

Never had any of Corey's stuff on tap, but from the bottle most have been underwhelming for what they trade for.

Corey works for a bar in SoFla called the Brass Tap. They've hired him to do some brewing at two of their bars; the Brass Tap's brewing outfit is called Flagler Village Brewing. They've agreed to let him continue raising funds/set up/amass hype for 3 Sons Brewing, which Corey states is planned to be opened 1Q17

So basically the same thing as the other hyped Corey's deal in St Louis with Perennial and Side Project? Appreciate the clarification.

I've really enjoyed every 3 Sons beer I've had at Huna Day for the past 2 years. No idea about how bottles taste, and not about to try trading for any.

Pretty much my mentality. If you want 3 Sons beer, just go to Huna day. It's literally cheaper than trying to get a 12oz bottle. Added bonus: **** tons of other really good beer

The BA Double Scoop from 3 Sons that was poured at the Full Pint Anniversary was a massive disappointment. It had no body and the adjuncts were fairly muted. Rare Scooop was insanely good though so I have no idea which is more representative of their output.

The Double Scoop and Summation at Huna Day 15 were two of the best beers that I tried during the entire event. Much better than SR-71, which was disappointing to say the least. Haven't tried anything in bottles, but based on what was on tap, the beers definitely lived up to the hype.

^ That describes the BA Double Scoop bottle I had. It was the best one out of the lineup lol...Gesha Summation, JBM 35, and BA Lumberjack were all pretty watery. Great noses, but adjuncts on taste weren't incredible. Same tasting with SR71 and they weren't even close to it. Had an unknown batch of Summation a few weeks back and it was much better than the stuff I had last year. Didn't seem to have any coffee to it but a ton of marshmallow. Rare Scooop was probably the best 3Sons/Cycle beer I've had.

My post. Not even a single reply. Willing to post it here but don't know what you have to do before you are allowed to.

Honestly, your best bet if you want to make that trade is to post it in one of the big Facebook trading groups. You're looking for a bottle where there's probably on the order of a couple dozen (if that) out there, and where even less total individuals have bottles. Anyone who has that beer on here and would entertain trading it is likely in those groups too, and you're casting a much wider net in general. You're also being very generous with your offer, so if anything is going to draw one of those bottles out, this might.

Make an offer.... Would love a bottle of Voodoo GNVP or BBA Miller's Toll from Raleigh BC.

Have multiple cans of what's listed below. Everything is less than 3 weeks old. Mostly fresh like 10 days.

    FT
    Heady Topper
    Julius
    Green
    Haze
    Galaxy DH Fort Point
    Eureka with Citra
Very Hazy.... But you would have to have a great bottle to get some. The limit last week was 3 cans per person.

I actually contacted the OP as I would really like to try some of those beers. Don't have either of the listed ISOs but offered a couple of fairly limited once a year kind of BA Stouts. Reached out to me but it didn't go anywhere. Seems like he or she might want to go $4$ for the cans... The regular release ones, not the ultra rare, blink and you'll miss it, Very Hazy

This thread makes me hate people and beer even more than I already do. Present company excluded, of course. Well most of you at least.
Yeah, this makes me appreciate the fact that with 98% of New Jersey beers, people have no interest because you don't have to wait on line for most of them and the limits are pretty high. And when people do try to trade away Jersey beers, they are usually asking for A&G 1:1. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's a shame. The breweries in NJ have amazing beers. Carton, Kane, conclave... I would love to have one of them in Toledo.
