Online Brewing Courses

Does anyone know of any online brewing courses that offer a certificate of some kind? I have been brewing for years and have been working to open a small brewpub, but my local government has just altered the rules so that you can't start a new brewery without some form of formal education document.

Once you get to 10,000 HBT posts you're certifiable.

Are the requirements specific to brewing? or would a safe food handling cert. suffice?

No. It has to be a specific brewing course. It doesn't have to be a bachelors degree or anything. The old Brewers association head here used to hold seminar classes that worked, but he passed away last year and now there is nothing.

Check out Siebel Institute. They have a one semester online brewing certificate course. Its pricey but probably worth it.

Well, what are the requirements then? Either you don't know or the government isn't being specific. Either way, how should we know?

What you don't want to do is blow a couple of grand on some Siebel course if you can get away with a a $50 afternoon workshop will tick the same box.
