Had a mild brew year due to some conflict and overall life drama but have been making up for it with 10 batches since October and 2 more scheduled before the years end.

I just got my hops in for 2017 but still have a lot of hops left over from the 2015 hop crop. I'm trying to find a way to use up the Nugget and Bravo; so far have only used them for bittering. I'm not much of a Barleywine guy but some will see themselves in an IIPA. Would love to hear what you would/have used them for as well as thoughts on using what I've purchased.

2017 starts my 4th year brewing and very excited to try some new (to me) hops and more challenging recipes. Maybe even a sour!

Anyone in Nashville, I'd trade for some 2016 crop Simcoe as my hop source does not grow or supply this.

If you want to use up some nugget make a dipa with all nugget. It will come out tasty. Troegs brewing company makes one called nugget nectar that is outstanding.

I just got my motherload shipment from Hops Direct too. 16#!

My next IPA is going to use those Eukenot hops. I'm interested to see what they are about.

I've used most of the other ones in your pic there. I made a dynamite wheat with some of that El Dorado. Azacca was underwhelming for me. I used that twice in hoppy beers and it was nothing special. Either use it for bittering, or combine with other hops later in the boil.

The Azacca is a reorder; so is Citra & Centennial. I've used it in a mango IPA. Used 2oz 170F 30min Whirlpool and 2 oz for dryhop and had a very mango (ee) flavor/aroma. I am going to make a similar Pale Ale with Azacca and Imperial Organic - Citrus yeast (have not tried that as of yet) May try to eventually pair it with the Huell Melon but most likely will do single hop trials on anything new.

I researched that beer and found lots of opinions on how to clone it; but definitely has Nugget in it. I do welcome an opportunity to try the original as it has great reviews! Thank you!

Right now I have this in design stage

Grain: Pilsner as the largest portion of malt and an even mix of Vienna and Munich with a small amount of malted wheat and a sparse amount of cara and chocolate wheat.

Hops: Equal amounts of Nugget, Bravo and Columbus; First wort, late additions and extended lower temp whirlpool; maybe some Northern Brewer in the mix.

Yeast: Notty never fails me and this is going to be a big one for me (1.090+) so probably stay with what I know works but possible I shift to a Belgian strain.

candi syrup late primary

If anyone has interest I'll follow up

Did an English Pale with Nugget hop specifically. HUGE peach flavor and back end citrus. I really was impressed with how it tasted. My schedule was this:

0.5oz Nugget - FWH
0.5oz Nugget - 10min
0.5oz Nugget - 5min
0.5oz Nugget - Flameout

I didn't dry hop for fear of what the hop would finish out like. But, I was impressed and would certainly do a large dry hop next time around.
