I use the term mead loosely since I used fruit and a rhizome.

I had cracked my last bottle of one of my first meads. It was 14 years old and am not even sure I recall the recipe. I know I used Rasberry Puree, Ginger, Orange Blossom Honey and it was a sparkling mead.

I shared it with a long time brew friend and we both marveled how well it held up. I had a little concern about how it would do with that many years on it but it was really good. Wish I had 1 more lol.
 
From everything I have read, mead just keeps getting better with age. I'm sure there is a "maximum" where it starts to drop, but it's in the order of several decades (assuming that it isn't infected etc etc blah blah).
