I have a 3 year expired WLP 665 sitting in my fridge. Is it worth even trying to rejuvenate it? What I mean, is if it DOES actually come back for me, will it be worthwhile? I believe it's a blend of bugs and yeast - so if some are dead and others are not will it throw off the results?
I'd still start with a regular yeast and add the "blend" later regardless...

You could always just chuck it into something you are planning on aging and see what happens. I'd imagine there is still some stuff ready to go.
I pitched a frozen and defrosted old pack of wild blend yeast and the Brett took off fine although the sourness wasn't pronounced but that could have been due to high hop rates.

I've been considering using this blend. I hope you don't mind me drifting off topic a bit, but how does it perform and do you like the flavor profile?
