Next weekend I am going to cook a 5 gal batch of Oktoberfest lager, and am going to use 2 packs of Safale 34/70 lager yeast. I can and am going to make a starter Monday for this and have a few questions before I get started. My equipment I have to use is a homemade stir plate, and a 2l erlenmeyer flask as well as an oversized growler.

Here's my questions:
1) Should I rehydrate 1 pack of the 34/70 and pitch into the 2l flask with about 1500l of wort, stir then move to the growler and then do the same thing with the second pack or do both packs at the same time?
2) If I do them seperate, should I airlock the growler until the second flask worth is ready, then add together and stir again until 25 hours prior then cold crash it?
3) am I way over thinking this, and should just keep both in the stir plate for 4 days, then cold crash and decant?

With two packets and a og below 1.060 you will have more than enough cells to ferment out. That yeast does a great job.
