First time kegging, I broke down my keg and soaked it and all the small parts in Star San. I started putting it together to then rack my Pilsner into it to begin lagering. I went to attached my regulator to the CO2 tank and realized I don't have a large enough wrench!

I'm wondering, is it OK to let the keg and parts to soak in the Star San overnight? I can stop by the store tomorrow to get a wrench.

Thanks!

If your worried just rack it. Doesnt matter if its not carbed overnight. Infection possibly is minimal at best. You could always rack it hand tighten the reg as tight as you can and pump some gas in the keg to get the oxygen out then disconnect the reg. Dont forget you need a washer between reg and tank

perfectly fine. I actually leave some acidisan (local starsan equiv) in my kegs after cleaning until I'm ready to fill them. That's sometimes weeks or months.

One note @njohnsoncs , is I did not see anything about cleaning the new keg, and while StarSan soak is really good especially taking everything apart, I've always cleaned with PBW or something any new keg due to machining oil or who knows what. And if you did, good on ya mate.

Kegs are stainless steel, so soaking with Dtar San shouldn't damage - this is presuming you used correct portions
