My brother and I brewed an Old Norse Ale with smoked malt, rye, oak chips, and juniper berries. We used Nottingham yeast. Primary x 2 weeks, secondary x 2 weeks, then we bottled it.
After about 5 days in the bottle it has an oil/haze on top that crawls up the sides of the bottle. We tasted one and it is very delicious, maybe the best tasting beer we've made.
Should we be concerned with this oil/haze? Any clue what it is? We've never used these ingredients before.
