i was wondering about that. people seem to really dig carton, but his check-ins read like a bad pootie tang impression. i personally think the beers are good, but not great, and not really worth the price of admission.

i had to resurrect this thread just to say that augie carton writes some really stupid **** on his check-ins.

Not just his check-ins, but others. It seems he cannot accept when people rate his beer poorly and often comments on low-rated check-ins. It makes him seem like a whiny brat.

Beer industry people who do this on Untappd are the absolute worst. Like, really, I'm not sure I can think of a beer-related thing I like less. As far as I'm concerned, if you work for a brewery, you shouldn't even be rating a beer on Untappd with stars.

EDIT: I will say, Sixpoint (and maybe others, I can't remember) have commented on bad ratings checkins I've had that have a comment about the beer perhaps being off, which I don't really have any issue with, as long as they're just trying to figure out if they have a QC issue.

I recently checked into a beer and said it was a "butter bomb." The brewer responded and said "Yikes! Must be an old keg!"

I was literally at the release party for this brand new brewery at a local pub.

Pretty safe to say it was just a ****** beer.

I don't know if this has been discussed yet or not, but the new re-design to the Untappd website is ******* AWFUL!! Who's moronic idea was it to put "Comment, Toast, View Details" below every single check-in?? Talk about clunky and wasting space.

Please go back to the original design or make it more streamline. This is why I stopped paying $5/month because clearly my money isn't being well spent...

It’s broken at the moment – they rolled out a redesign yesterday and it didn’t look anything like it does right now. Probably some resource file not loading properly, because the app is also spazzing out.

They unveiled parts of it to the super users a while ago, and I didn't understand why they were doing it. I think they seriously mismanage their time, constantly tinkering with things that work well enough while putting off new features that would actually enhance the user experience way more. It's frustrating but there's nothing we can do.

Totally disagree. I don't really understand why he rubs people the wrong way. I like Augie, and Untappd is really the only exposure I've had to him.

Idle Hands is the worst about this. Everytime i haven't liked one of their beers, they are like, oh you are the only one that didnt like that. They even DMd be on Twitter once, and i guess you can't DM them back unless they follow you.
