Annual Fremont tasting with TheAbyss and Bud Light Lime Express and one other last night, all 2015 brews plus 13 and 14 Abominable. 13 was especially incredible, brew 1000 was the favorite of the night and everything else was very good.

We ended up drinking x2 bottles of 2015, 2013 and 2008 as well as a pour of Whiskey Shire as a ringer. My personal preference was the 2013, followed closely by the two bottles of 2015 (one of which I thought was another 13), then Whiskey Shire followed by 2008. I always enjoy doing blind tastings and this is the 3rd or 4th year that we've done some variation on a blind Bourbon County tasting.

Stuff we drank: Let's start with what's in the glass, Potions Magical Elixirs Black Aria *Best Kombucha on the planet*, Various vintages of BIB OGD and Old Fitz (Disco fitz not pictured), CC13yr, PHC4, MAZURT DAMP-2 (Best non sour beer I've ever had)( if you're at Huna Day, check them out before their coconuts kick, PM me later with your thanks), Various 4R private picks, Vintage Rebel Yell, PWV23 2009, and other ****, you get it.

In the vortex, of course.

Royal Rumble share yesterday afternoon and evening

I didn't take a picture so I had to settle for what I could find.
Highlights:
Zomer-not going to pretend I'm competent to describe a beer that enjoyable. Taste places you into a wildflower field in June. So balanced.
The Peach-home run by de garde. If NG Wild Peach is haribo peach rings, this is a peach lifesaver. The cognac sweetens it up perfectly.
Miami Madness-just stupid good. We literally did a side by side with passion fruit soda.
SR-71-big time coffee roast and balanced sweetness. Great barrel presence.
11th Labor-seriously drinking really high end apricot jam
Flora 2014-Beautiful white wine notes
Little Lobster/Verdance-the defunct brewery side by side light saison experience was perfect carb and bright/crisp flavor
BdBdB-my favorite of the 3 pack of wine grape variants
Westly-it was really a highlight just by getting to try it. It offers up all that I wish West Ashley was. The finish is underripe apricot right on point. Cellarman remains my favorite from SARA though. Bernice second.
Sump Burundi-huge espresso roast on the nose and taste with a balanced flavor that includes some fruitiness

There were numerous other great beers but those stood out. Nothing on the table was a true disappointment.

Did a Apricot tasting this past snow storm with 2 other friends. A little over-ambitious but life is about shooting for the stars. Fou'founes were '14/'15. Both of which won the line-up. West Ashley, Apricot Gose and La Fosse were close behind. Truth be told we didnt get to B1&B2 Map of the Sun or Golden Angel, but I should be getting Imp Apricot Bu this weekend so ill be able to do a mini apricot tasting thing and see.

Get 11th Labor from Schlafly. It shouldn't be that hard to come by. It's like apricot nectar meets apricot jam. Very nice berliner.

I had LiL about a month ago - such an amazing beer. Also have one of those De Cam Framboise-Lambieks...what'd you think?

That was a 2009 De Cam and super good.
LIL is less sweet than when it first came out and a great beer for sure.

Very small birthday tasting. OGV is 2007. AdF is Batch 2. CD is #14. Not pictured: Shatrial, Atrial B5, Sierra Nevada Tequila Barrel Lime Ale, Cigar City Endless Nameless.

Spiteful Malevolence Chocolate Caliente: very impressive, balanced and drinkable for a "spiced stout"
OGV 2007: deep funk, lots of basement, light carb, very enjoyable
Block 15 Peche: lively carb, moderate acidity, strong peachiness
BT Black Magick: still fudgy as **** - a highlight
BT Tenacious Wee: probably the most underrated Voodoo release - in a great place right now
AdF: very good, but a little strong on the acidity for my taste.

My palate started getting pretty ****** after that. Hazelnut was super nutty, good body. CD 14 is *******. Oude Rruin is good, but serving size is like 1 oz given how acidic it is. Sante 19 is...a wild beer.
