Killer. How is M holding up? When I had it it was a bourbon tootsie roll.
I was going to post these and forgot.
Highlights for me were West Ashley, Nectarine Premiere, Cantillon Kriek, Casey Family Preserve, AC Golden BBW, CD11? and the water out of the cellar maker growler. So sessionable.
No, so moist. Nice try, young man.Don't you mean so dry?
Pat lying facedown so you can't see the Edith stain on his shorts.
This is a tasting that I had with Jvrdz24 BusinessSloth and a few others outside of TB a few weeks ago.
A lot of highlights here...
Four Seasons set was awesome, so glad I got to experience that. Initially, my ranking was Herfst, Zomer, Lente, Winter, but afterwards and at this point I could honestly pick any of them as #1 depending on my mood. Herfst was really well balanced, Zomer was pretty intense and bright, Lente was similar to Zomer but more delicate and Winter was pretty similar to Herfst and got amazing as it opened up.
Vig is always a favorite of mine. 2014 bottle, was one of the funkiest bottles of lambic I've had.
A&T was perfect, probably the best bottle of gueuze I've ever had. Golden Blend 2014 was very very close to it though.
Le Sarrasin was also perfect, best saison I've had but not far off at all from Cellarman or some of the other big ones. Hell, even Oddwood b2 is close.
Imperial Orchard was delicious, favorite Bu so far. Good bottle of Hommage (haven't had one I've disliked yet though), Syrah was good but it didn't blow me away. I was really hoping for it to be closer to CdT. Nonna's #7 was also excellent, Biere de Norma was very gueuze like on the nose, Atrial b5 was very jammy with a ton of oak for me. I still prefer b4 though. Nocturn b3 bottle was just perfect and reminded me of how much I loved that beer when I first had it. Experimentalis w/ Meyer Lemons was great, tons of gin and lemon. The barrels gave it complexity that was missing from the yeast. I also really enjoyed August Schell's Cypress Blanc (not pictured). I thought it was complex and wonderfully delicate for a Berliner.
Let downs were Peachin' Camaro, Stone Bu (I'm sure it was great fresh but this bottle was too vinegary), and I can't remember if there was anything else...
Was an awesome night though, thanks guys!
Would love to try A&T one day.Yeah that was one of my all-time favorite bottle shares.
I brought that golden blend for a side by side. Very close. With maybe another year or two, I expect GB 2014 to be on par with A&T.Would love to try A&T one day.
Great lineup.
I should have 3 GBs soon.I brought that golden blend for a side by side. Very close. With maybe another year or two, I expect GB 2014 to be on par with A&T.
Tell the truth- the fruits were all faded and it was basically an old bottle of Timmermans at this point. No one should bother holding on to any old fruited LPs and they should trade them to me for adjunct stouts and berliners. k thnxThe Lou Pepe Kriek from 2007 was a gift from a local Chicagoland lambic guru and he said on his last trip that JVR called this particular bottling vintage, and it was the standout of the evening. We had a new (vintage 14) Vignerrone vs. a 2012 bottling, and it was universal that the fresh was a bit of a let down.

It ranges from tasting a hair behind Blauw, to barely above regular 3F OG. I've had several bottles. All were fantastic.I should have 3 GBs soon.
A&T just gets rave reviews. lol

This just happened, with food pairings and musical accompaniment of course.
Mars is hella faded (but actually really pleasant right now) and apricot has completely overtaken Venus, but the others are drinking without too much variation at the moment.
