What did you think of Fen Tao? I've dy made my opinion of it known, but I'm curious what others think. I want to make sure I'm not crazy.

Also Joel66, you see what Cantillon opened the other day to celebrate their new building?

I did see, it was amazing to see.

The carb was still in ours too. Truly an amazing veer

Cant edit so:
Truly an amazing beer and most fun to hunt down. A real ghost, that exceeded all expectations

I domed it and it was so sour to the point of being hard to take.

I havent had a side project beer since batch 1 fermier ive considered to be worth what they take to get
Thank you. That makes me feel a bit better about not being able to taste the latest insta-whales.

if it makes you feel any better, the peche fermier was nothing to rave home about either. almost tempted to trade my apricot, grisette and ble

If I had to pick a favorite it'd be Art. I can confirm the SP sours are damn sour. I preferred Blancs to Fencerow. But Fuzzy is still better than either of those. Brute was a treat as well. Norma was b2 and from the recent "vintage" sale at HF. I found it much better than the b2 bottle I had from the initial release. Nelson was delicious as all hf IPAs are. And BG&E was great to try, but I don't care for stouts so I can't really comment, but I loved the maple aspect.

Did a blind framboise tasting with the lady this weekend:

Unlike the gueuze(ish) tasting I did a few months back, I guessed everything right on this. The lambic stuck out like a sore thumb and was head and shoulders above the AWAs. My rankings and notes:
1. Rose de Gambrinus - wonderful funk that added a huge layer of complexity to the flavor. Tasty raspberries too. Way better than the rest.
2. Framboise de Amorosa - Ugliest of the bunch, a reddish muddy color. Full raspberries and a rich depth. It's something like 8.5%, so that could explain the disparity between it and FFAC. Very very good.
3. FFAC 2014 - Less raspberries than 1 and 2 and not as much going on. A little disappointing.
4. FFAC 2013 - Same as 2014, but less fruit. You can kind of see from the photo above, it's a less red color too.

Went to a bottle share in Ohio a few weeks ago.

dontdrinkbeer
That's actually the perfect format because so many of those beers I would only want .3 ounces of, just enough for the Untappd checkins to blacken the sky

The best is at tastings like this when someone tries literally 1 ounce of west Ashley and goes "IT WASNT ALL THAT KINDA BORING AND LUKE WARM"

So god damned good. Also Brute was surprisingly good
i don't think i'll ever have a beer as good as Westly again, just incredible. and that Brute was really solid, can't believe it was still holding up. also, it was good to meet you, gregkoko! thanks for bringing the 09 bomber! we'll have to do it again sometime fer sher.

Westly was just insanity. Great meeting you. Definitely hope we can do it again some time
