We joined the line at 12 sharp and were among the last dozen to get all three at about 1.45. Had to race back to the office so didn’t even get any draft yet.

Curious what percentage of people who come for bottle releases don’t go to the brewery any other time.

They should have the data given that they track cards through the POS equipment. I would expect that the proportion of regular drinkers to bottle release attendees is small, but then HM do see great distribution of all their draft throughout the region so that's not a surprise. Perhaps more on-site bottles of the line-up-for-hours rarities, perhaps priced a little higher, would encourage in more on-trade.

This is where I'm at after the Vermouth Gin Table release. There is always plenty of good stuff available at the taproom on regular days, and I can get my "rare beer" via Floodland now without a single ounce of insanity.

I know what you mean, but we ("we" in this case meaning not shitlords) don't want these HM bottles because they are "rare", we want them because they are delicious, right? Having different "rare" beer from another brewery, while nice, isn't always a satisfactory consolation.

I can't tell you how much we appreciate everyone stopping by. Whether it be coming in to drink on a random Tuesday or showing up to grab a small run of something. We can't make everyone happy, and we're not trying to do that. We're not a bottle club, we're not a mug club. There are plenty of options and opportunities to be a part of those, and I think it's great if it gives you a good experience.

We are a brewery though, with an amazing crew that is going to keep doing what we're doing. I can promise you we're all working our asses off brewing and making sure you're gong to get a good product out of the bottle or glass, and a good experience when you sit down at our bar. If you don't, let us know. We'll make it right.

We'll always have stuff behind the counter to take home. Not everyone wants to buy a growler or a shirt when they're visiting. These are beers we're very proud of, and we want to get out to share with locals and visitors from out of town and out of country. We'll keep on putting stuff up on the "for here" list to try at the brewery, at what we think is a fair price and what we have available in the small amounts of it that there is. I for one love these beers, and it's what I primarily drink if I'm taking bottle home or going to a friends house.

We've got some awesome stuff coming up. Rare beer aside, some of our favorite stuff to brew is absolutely the draft stuff. There is a new batch of Hefeweizen that was tweaked that will be up in the next couple of days (I'm headed to Germany in a few weeks, so that's about all that is on my mind lately) Lots of new lagers in the works. Lots of new hoppy stuff in the works. See you guys around!

it is only a testament to your success, and the quality of your product, that some of us have grown frustrated with the frenzy that surrounds these big releases. And not just the fact that there is a line to buy bottles. I think it's only natural to lose interest in even tangentially participating in some of the behavior we all see, like hired muling, cheating the line, secondary selling, etc, that happens when a brewery has "made it." As you guys clearly have.

Stupid noob question: are cans fairly available (quick look at the site says not right now)? Would like to trade for some pils / lagers but have no idea what to offer. Happy to take this over to ISO:FT is more appropriate, but just want a lot of Three Fates in my life.

Both times I have gotten Three Fates they have been easily available for a week or two after the initial release. The main thing is they only get canned a couple times a year afaik. Just follow along with the HM instagram and once a release happens I wouldn't be surprised if you could get someone to do a gpiufmb.

I could potentially try to get you a growler, but I'd need to figure out a new shipping situation for the two dG replacement bottles I already have packed up for you.

Appreciated, but don't worry about the growler unless you want me to turn around a SARA fill!
