Hops for days.....

Finally! Couple weird things about this one... the caps are back to silver from the red caps of the 2012, but the labels are a weird pale lavender instead of the usual silver. Also, I expected this to be labeled 2014 (since they skipped a release year), but it says brewed in 2013, and the caps are labeled April 2015... so quite a bit longer between brewing and bottling than normal. I'll most likely open one up in a month or two and see how I think it might age.

Holy smokes...I get a random PM from GRDave a few days ago saying he was basically running a silent LIF for whoever gave him his 10,000th like. He then even asked me what I haven't had from Michigan. Today I get a box full of new ticks especially a nice variety from Short's (which I haven't had) and my first ever bottle of mead. I'd say he made The Statement! (PUN INTENDED!) Cheers to you good sir!

In this day and age of 'loon hyping and goozie bottle limits, let me be the first to say
Hhhhnnnnnnnnnnnggh

Backstory: A month or so back Sobchak sent me a very generous NM package and the local delivery guys here proceedes to crush the hell out of it, less than half the bottles/cans survived. Super annoying but c'est la guerre of beer trading, I guess.

Fast forward to today when Sobchak 's replacement package lands:

You da man Nate! Weekend: saved.

While drinking my Pliny today (see today's DDT) I realized I completely forgot to post a pic of an extremely generous haul from jedwards from a few weeks back:

Bringing dat Bay Area heat, thanks man! You are a scholar and a gentleman, I'll send all vintage De Dolle I find to you.

And then this one as well. I have been hassling TNGabe to try a couple of his homebrews, I got my wish and I am so happy to get a chance to dive into all of these, they all sound awesome. Thanks Gabe, i really appreciate it.

In our continuing effort to send each other awesome boxes of "local" beer and recently, coffee beans, quirk6 drops this on me. He told me he was heading to Boston and going to "send me some beer", so I expected like a 6 shipper or something. I couldn't have been more wrong...

Everything except the Framinghammers are new ticks and sound amazing and the hoppy stuff is already consumed.
I can't thank you enough Adam! Time to start planning serious payback.

So back in April I posted about wanting to work something out for Sour in the Rye with Peaches if anyone wasn't maxing out, because I love peach beers (so #newmoney of me, I know) and have never had a chance to try a SITR variant. I had long forgotten about that post when out of the blue daniel messages to ask me if I ever got that taken care of. Took me a while to figure out WTF he was talking about. Next thing I know this box is sitting on my porch. And he tells me he doesn't need anything in return. yeahok.gif  All are new ticks, can't wait to try them all. Thanks Daniel!
