The first time I had The Blossom I was like

Is it likely that the blossom will sell out this weekend? Was planning on going up to de garde on the 26th of Oct. but if the Blossom is likely to disappear before I make it up there then maybe I just go tomorrow

The Château

We are excited to share a new beer with you and one of the oldest we've yet offered. The Château is a four year blend of spontaneously fermented and aged barrels, with an average total age of approximately 29 months in oak. After tasting, blending, transferring and bottling, the beer was further conditioned in bottles for approximately 5 more months.

All of our favorite multi-year blends have a notable Brettanomyces funk to them, but each individual composition expresses its own unique personality. As a rather old composition, this beer leans in a much funkier direction. Mineral and earth characteristics dominate the aroma, with a complexity and intensity matched in the taste. It finishes with a very dry and crisp feel, allowing a lingering impression of the aged barrels and Brett character.

The Maison

Each blend of The Maison is unique. While they are always composed of three different years of oak barrels, each final blend will develop a singular character. With this in mind, and in consideration of offering a four year blend to members, we wanted to share the newest iteration of The Maison. This allows you to enjoy the difference in ages of the two compositions as well as the uniquely delicious characteristics of this blend on its own.

This blend presents a beautifully funky, dusty earth-like complexity as always, but with a notably vibrant fruit character from the fermentation. We taste a lot of tropical fruit and notes of citrus. Creamy carbonation provides for a vibrant aroma and full feel with each sip; the dryness keeps it bright and supremely drinkable.

Please note – This quarter’s allocations, (The Château & The Maison) are not exclusive to members. We will also be releasing these bottles in our tasting room.

As a little perk, we are offering you the option to purchase two additional bottles of each on Monday, December 3rd at 9am (PDT) until Wednesday December 5th at 9pm (PDT) on the Keepers website

Each of these bottles will be $18 (no wishes).

Kriek Première

We love Montmorency Cherries. So, when we were offered a large quantity of fresh organically grown ones, in addition to the amount that we were already expecting, we of course had to purchase them! Thankfully, we had some Première just finishing aging in oak cask, so we wasted no time in transferring it into a secondary oak tank with this beautiful fruit.

Première is not usually the most complex or funky base beer that we produce, though it is delicious. We love it for the vibrant fruit character from our native yeast and bacteria that it develops after leaving our coolship and fermenting for nearly a year in oak. This makes it a fantastic canvas to work with actual fruit on as well. That beautiful wild yeast character is melded with the fruit selection, and this marriage of the two produces something uniquely different than each of the components on their own. With its restrained acidity and delicious fruit forward impression, you’ll want a second bottle ready.

Kriek Première bottles will be $14 each, limit 4 per person with the option to wish for a 5th bottle

I know De Garde isn't cool anymore, but holy **** am I excited for four bottles of The Nectarine Cuvée b2

Same and they're still cool with me. I've been pleasantly surprised by all of the bottles I've opened recently: all low acidity with great fruit presence. My uncle, who usually loves Belgian staples, keeps asking when I'll bring more of "the Oregon beer" over.

Headed to DG today with some first-time visitors from the UK today. Any tips for food in the area? I’ve only eaten from the farmers market on previous trips, and I’m guessing that’s a summer-only thing.
